Hehe, I didn't have my head in this whole case...but I believe B.I.G. and P.Diddy had something to do with the death of Pac, and I'm guessing one of Pac's associates killed B.I.G. in return, or hired an assassin. If I were thinking who in the world would want B.I.G. dead the most is someone who associates with Pac, and I can say Suge Knight. Lol, its like a double bladed sword, except that one side is dull. If Suge Knight had an assassin (or cop) kill B.I.G., i'm thinking he would have inherited the money from the songs Pac left behind and avenged Pac's death...if he even cared about him. I guess its a West Coast thing.

And I agree, Tupac shouldn't have kept the Gangbanging in his life. Its keeping your street credibilty,--

--I mean, most mainstream rappers today probably rap about 'Hood shots, fights and violence' when they didn't even shoot a gun--

--yet keeping your street credibility would ruin your career...as proven in Pac's case. I think its just best to rap about the hardships of the hood, instead of the attitude that has kids dress up in gangster outfits. And rap about what happened in your hood (like a story) instead of what your going to do in the hood. Because now Cassidy done something wrong with a gun, we might have another dead rapper.

Personally I do not believe that Biggie and Diddy had anything to do with the murder of Tupac Shakur. Tupac lived that gangbaging life while his music career launched and he pissed of a lot of dangerous people, so it is really no surprise that he was shot.

Although Tupac was a great rapper and poet he also made great mistakes during his short-lived career that eventually took his life.
Super Pancake
I like what alot of you said maybe Tupac got killed by some random gangbanger, but the thought that Suge could of done it is plausible!

QUOTE(2PAC4LIFE @ Jun 28 2005, 10:28 PM)
The first time Pac got shot was because of BIG. Pac knows BIG had something to do with they way they acted when he got shot.

Everything P Diddy said about not shooting Pac, Pac came back with a better statement.

BIG- God knows the truth

PAC- There's no religion to getting shot.

BIG-  WHO SHOT YA

PAC- Ends up getting shot

Everyone can give BIG props  but me & PAC won't

Are you serious, pac got shot by robbers in Bad boy studios while big and diddy were a couple of floors up recording a track and five people can vouche for that claim and for the last time 'Who shot ya' was recorded long before the shooting, Any way I thing pac is delusional why would he think his good friend would shoot him, "the way they acted" Biggie said he did not do it damn he was recording! And nobody gave props to Biggie for shooting anybody.
_hAiLO_
Maybe it was B.I.G.'s hired assassin? They hire people to kill people in movies these days you know laugh.gif

Hustle up! We got a Gangsta situation!!

Super Pancake
You think maybe Fifty got arrested by those two one time
about:blank
Here's my beef with the 2pac and BIG beef...

The fact that these two are put on the same platform is sad. Not to insult BIG, cause the man had lyrical skills, but compared to Pac. no.gif I'm not saying this just out of opinion. Look at record sales, and records made. Pac had atleast seven well made albums during his life time. BIG had two. It bothers me that BIG is seen as a equal rival to Pac. It just doesn't add up.

I believe Pac was killed one of three ways. An elaborate scheme by Suge Knight or P Diddy. Possibly a twisted fan of his own, or of BIGs. You know how crazy some fans get. No matter how, I believe Pac is dead. He loved his life too much to just cover it up, and throw it away. People say he faked it to get out of the thug life? He loved that life. He enjoyed being a wealthy thug.

If Pac were alive, I doubt he would have much affect on Eminem's sales. Eminem caught the hip hop wave at exactly the right moment. All the "suburban gangsters" picked up his album so quick, and it took a while but then the mainstream started to eat it up. Basically he sells records due to white skin and his ingenious lyrics. Everyone loves to see white boys rhyming like that.

This will probably get a lot of people angry, but I believe Eminem is more comparable to 2pac that BIG. The way Pac arroused conterversy and anger within the media, just like Eminem. It would not suprise me if Eminem studied Pac's attitude during Pac's career peak.

Super Pancake
I say lyrically they are equal they rapped about the same stuff but biggie had a tight rhyming and skills, while Pac had the voice and both of them had great flow, but one thing that Pac had that biggie did not was presence Biggie did not have pressence. Pac just had to get in your face when he is rhyming and talking, Big was more layed back on things he was like whatever I take and give of life but people still listended. Tupac wanted all eyes literally on him.

about:blank most of Tupacs album sales went to white people also when he was alive, maybe Em had more, but damn to think Em could soon one day break Tupac's record sales.
_hAiLO_
I think Eminem was up there, because he wasn't afraid to say what he wanted to say. He was real in a sense, then being real caused a riot tongue.gif

Hey, I picked up this diss song. Its to the Game from Jay-Z

Hey, if anyone is interested in reading a interview with Tony Yayyo here's the link....

Hmm..well with Pac dead, Suge would've received all the rights to Tupac's song anyways. Afeni had to sue them to get the rights of the song to her label that she started for Pac. I believe Suge didn't really care much for Pac, just considered him as someone he could make money off of.

Now Tupac's Mom Afeni gets money. Because Death Row was ripping Pac of for his money before he died and Pac was in the process of leaving Death Row that's wh some people say Suge killed Pac or had something to do with it.

Also somewhere in the mix up Nate Dogg was getting some of Pac's money. I say I'm glad Pac's Mom is getting his money she is also putting it twords Pac's college.

It was a good interview, answered some questions I was aking myself especially about his album Fifty been going on how its the best out of G-unit and So Seductive comes out as the first single WTF! That song was whack, I know must mainstream gangster rappers release club songs as a single with the exception of Ice Cube and Dre (they too good for that), but G-Units singles be whack, it made me wonder if his album is good enough though he got some good artist that he collabed with however even Em is on it huh.gif .

I did not check the Jay-Z track yet, but in the interview it said how the Game apoligized to Jay-Z after "300 Bars and Runnin" think its true. Also it seems in the interview G-unit is doing big thing, think with all the artist they signed with they just going to finish The Game no.gif damn, if they get Kokane to sign and dis The Game then, The Game is done and G-Unit is the next Death Row label laugh.gif hope they last longer though. laugh.gif
DarkSinister
Looks like G-unit gon be around for a hell of a long time. I'm still wondering why MOP would want to sign with them, oh well. Hailo, the link doesn't work anymore! no.gif Hahah, i guess i was too late. But man, I think Yayo is whacked...oh well, what can you do about it. I'm pretty sure Game will still make it out on his own though. Man, i haven't heard any decent song for a long time, when is someone coming out with something fresh and RAW. My ears needs a damn workout and my ipod is screaming for attention.

I'm listening to Gorillaz right now..hahah something new!

I think his predictions and hopes of selling 625,000 copies it its first week is a little high in my opinion. Tony Yayyo may be G-Unit which already has a strong fanbase but those numbers will not be reached.

I agree. Fat Joe expected 250,000 records to be sold in his album in its first days, and I thought it was too low, but then I listened to it and I guess its not a bad guess laugh.gif . There are G-Unit fans out their, but there are also a lot of G-Unit haters as well. Rumor is, people who hate G-Unit are just jealous because they got money and we don't. I can't believe MOP signed to g-unit Game is going to have to roast them too. 50Cent is also trying to sign Mobb Deep. And that's weird Mobb Deep is cool with game. Havoc (from Mobb Deep) Even produced a song on Game's album.
about:blank
From what I have heard of Tony Yayo, He is garbage. He truly brings nothing unique to the rap game. He sounds like Lloyd Banks and 50 mixed. He is going to sell albums because 50 talked about him for so long, and because he's got a G-Unit T-shirt.

In 300 Bars, When Game imitates Lloyd Banks. That is hilarious.
_hAiLO_
You know what? I think a lot of people who like it when rappers talk about sex, violence, jewelry or even drugs, or even misunderstood the hood as an HQ for gangsters instead of america's poverty spot are going to go crazy over Tony Yayos album.
Super Pancake
I was looking forward to Yayo also since almost everybody is always saying good things about him even Em had that free Yayo shirt on a while back it had to mean something then So Seductive came out user posted image user posted image

I don't think his album will be good, any of you guys going to buy it.

I would not buy the album but I am interested to see how it does with the fans though thumbsup.gif
_hAiLO_
Well, the So Seductive beat draws me in, you know grin2.gif . Is it the lyrics that make you puke?
arben
Speaking of album releases is anyone going to get R. Kelly's TP3 Reloaded?

The first two singles I liked so I may probably cop that album thumbsup.gif
FLY SPITTA
Tony Yayo has nothing to offer to the rap game. He was on 106&Park saying how he wants to be a role model for ids. Yeah right every song he talks about drugs...not weed pills X and crap like that. Yayo is sorry.

FLY SPITTA
^ Are you BS ing?
Super Pancake
No really some guy was shouting tupac tupac tupac while Snoop wa on stage.

How many songs do you have to like to buy an slbum from an artist you don't usaully buy from. Like for me for example the last ludacris album i only like four songs out of the 15 songs on the album so 11 songs i either don't like or hate. So in my opinion the album sucks, because less then 25% the album I like. Now an artist like Em I don't really like him but all his albums I usually like almost all the songs maybe 90 to 95% of it so I buy it. so how much of an album you must like to buy from an artist you don't listen to that much!

Probably around 75% of the album. If I can't listen to an album without a lot of tracks then that really sucks. But as far as Em's album. I liked his Slim Shady LP and Marshall Mathers LP, but when I got "Encore" I only liked three songs in the whole album(20 tracks). That's when I would say "this album sucks" thumbsup.gif
FLY SPITTA
I usually just buy a album if I think I am going to like it the day it comes out I don't have to like any songs.

That's m personal opinion on what is actually going to happen when his album flops. I highly doubt his album is going to sell. If it does it's all thanks to 50 he'll buy 1million albums for Yayo, Because if you look up the thread 50's job does look like it pays well.

I did use to like 50, but the way he did Game was wrong. It seems like as a person he is a backstabber. But I give him credit for rapping he can make hits. But that's about it.
nick_fury
to be honest, i don't really care what 50, g-unit and all the rest of them get up to, i buy the music because i like the music and i would never boycott someones album just because they had beef with an artist i prefered

i think a lot of artists nowdays tend to let their personal lives overshadow their music which just seems to go against a lot of what they claim to stand for, i got more respect for those that keep their heads down and just keep producing wicked rhymes
Super Pancake
nick_fury well the mentality about beef is very different in America, because it is felt more because its closer to home and the music often reflects the lives of many in a mainstream kind of way. For me I just don't like Fifty period ever since his underground days I just did not feel his music.
Carla
50 cent is okay I like the game though and lloyd banks grin2.gif
_hAiLO_
I copped Lloyed Banks 'The Hunger for More', don't riot....*ducks*

Well, that was a long time ago...when I thought sick beats made the record. I'm gonna be honest here, but I think a lot of people will buy Tony Yayo's album because 'So Seductive' had a really sick beat, and it made club dancers dance their a** off. I can definitly say the same about 50's 'Candy Shop', 'Disco Inferno', and 'Just a lil Bit'. Except thats 3 tracks, so far Yayo only released 1.

What do you all think of 50's 'Hate it or Love it' g-unit remix thats in his album? I don't think its too gangsta, but its not what I like in some aspects. You can hear a hint of realism in their rhymes.

As for Banks, he sounds like Fab...I don't like him cause it seems like he bit Fabolous' style. I never liked G-unit or 50 either, can't stand them! Has anyone heard of a comeback by 50 or any of G-unit to the Game? I think it'll most likely be on Yayo's album so they'll be able to rack in more $$$

What do you all think about all the clothing lines that rappers are coming out with? I think they're pretty whacked.. wacko.gif. Also see more peeps wearing LRG, Triple 5 Soul, Stussy, Live Mechanics, Zoo York... thumbsup.gif kinda playing it out though hmm.gif

_hAiLO_
The clothing line is bothering me, I think rappers should just stick with rapping and leave the clothing line to other people...

I know you all don't like G-Unit much, I mean they aren't like what hip-hop used to be. But I want to ask what you guys think of all the Instrumentals G-Unit keeps bringing out. The lyrics from underground rap between mainstream rap are very different, yes. But the instrumentals, they too are very different. I want to know what you guys think of mainstream rap instrumentals. Do you think they are better than underground rap instrumentals? Or do the extra instruments like keyboards and violins turn out to be just as annying as the lyrics they say?
Super Pancake
Well the instrumentals are not that different if you want to get technical about it, almost all music follow the 32 bars standard, 32 sets of 4 beats a meter. Its not that different from any genre of music. Its just the standard. Now if we get into harmony and chords well its all on taste which instrumental sounds good to you, for me its all good mainstream and underground.

Now underground may experiment on the instrumentals like instead of 4 beats a meter it could be 5,6,7 beats, I can't think of one on the top head right now. One song I could remember in the mainstream that did not follow the 32 bar standard was Hey Yah by Andre 3000 the summer anthem of 03. It did follow the 32 bar standard but the arrangement of the meters were different it went 4,4,4,6,4,4,4,6 it was ingeniously good, I think thats why it was such a hit because of the 6 beats that came after the 3 consecutive meters of 4 beats. that part were it just went 6 beats just hooked on you and the lyrics were cathy it was just addictive.
_hAiLO_
I see what you mean. I think some of Twista's 'Overnight Celebrity' had 3 beats a meter (or measure) somewhere in the beginning.

My imput in intrumentals is pretty much the same. I was worried that some of the underground fans didn't like Mainstream rap, maybe because of the instrumentals as well. I'm not too concerned about the beats-per-measure, but what sounds they put in it (violins, keyboards, etc. ). Like Tony Yayo's 'So Seductive', I would think some people wouldn't like it main because of the lyrics, and the beat. The beat, for one reason may make a very good club dancer, thats why I think people like it. And it can also make your head bop, thats why I like it. But the lyrics really turn me off...the beat could have been used for a better purpose. The sound of the beat however, is 'seductive'...so I guess I can't argue in that matter. Maybe the lyrics were suppose to go with the beat.

Thats my imput in instrumentals. I could feel a difference between the sounds of underground and mainstream instrumentals, but I don't know if it matters that much.
arben
