Also a little animated potatoe head guy was walking on the tv screen to and it was suppose to be game. He was wearing a black bandana that said wanksta and had the same tattoos as game

and one guy hit his girlfriend so security got him
Super Pancake

about:blank
I was at the Indianapolis show a few weeks ago, and it seemed Em was lip synching for some of his songs, and of course that started rumors, but did you happen to notice any suspicious mouth movement?
FLY SPITTA

omg...this happened in the West Coast? This is unbelievable...

I can't wait for this to be over, its just...stupid. And there is this Radio Station in my city, and every Sunday they play underground rap from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Do you think hip-hop is being to commercialized like Punk Rock music, used to be cool when everybody hated it now every body loves it and, the true fans of Pnuk hate it now.

Dude, I renamed 'Gangsta Rap', 'Punk/Pop Rap' now. See, just like you said. The Rap music people like nowadays are the ones with catchy hooks, beats with too many violins, and lyrics that talk about sex/crack/violence. Well, Punk or Pop music never talks about that. But the rap music I always see in TV, has the signature 'Catchy Hooks' and 'Catchy Beats'.

The Mainstream Beats these days, sound like Orchestra laugh.gif

And hAiLo you think DMX is being a patsor is wierd what about Bishop Don Magic Juan? He actually is a pastor, I think the guy is a sh** of a man talk about setting the civil rights movements back anothe 100 yrs, since when being a pimp was a respectable profession.
Never heard of Don Magic Juan, but your right. I guess I can't judge a guy from what he looks. I once heard that DMX quit the Rap scene just so he can spend more time with his family. That I thought was pretty cool.

Nas just released a diss on 50 Cent w00t.gif

You can listen to it here:

Scared of pussy you climbed out of caesarean laugh.gif

That was alright not his best dis, but that was a hot track. When you got Nas dissin you, aint nothing you can do but take it and hope you don't lose your career.

I heard it again well obviously I don't think its a dis to 50 he says something about coming out the same hood, and how jada did him in, but never says 50's name once. So this must be like a warm up for his album coming out, thats When I think he will go all out on 50.

you know what heard it again, now I think its kind of weak, I'm not sure if its a dis track. Compared to the dis 50 had on nas, was it called piggybank he straight up dissed his girl and him. Its not that good of a come back and it took made long too release.

Nas would kill 50 on a track hands down Nas already murked Gay-Z AKA Jay Z. Many people like Jay Z me personally I don't. I only like Kanye West from the roc.

Also 2Pac dissed Jay Z many times lol if Pac were here today....whooo man
Super Pancake
Yeah I can't wait till the album drop, Nas did Jay-z dirty "H to the OMO", the only reason people like him is because of of that shitty formula that he always drops on the dumb MTV crowd.

Yo who do you think would win if Snoop had beef with 50, I was arguing with my homie on IM and he (homie ignorant know nothing about hip-hop) said 50 would smash, I was like nah man 50 can dis people good but Snoop old G, 50 can't touch him.

Never understood why people would call Jay-Z the "God" of rap hmm.gif He was okay but nothing to the caliber of other great rappers.

As far as diss- It is good but it's no Ether that's for sure.

You can check out Nas's latest album, 'Streets Disciple' if you didn't like his previous ones.

And that so called '50 Cent' diss was okay, its not the best he's done. I hope he's just warming up.

What do you guys thing it means to keep it real in hip-hop music?

I think keeping real means a person being a role model for the community. Rap about the positives in life, and warnings of the paths that lead no where. Someone who raps because its all about the music and the people not about the money, girls and fame. They can rap about gangster life if they want but be real about it. don't say i sold more drugs then you, i shot more people then you, I f***ed more girls then you. don't be egotistic about it, yeah you came from the streets, but be an example of a life that went wrong for the better.

Well if we take my definition of being real their are few rappers out there who could meet the requirement.

_hAiLO_
I think keeping it real is to saying something 'real' when it comes to rap. What I mean by saying something 'real' is not to say something because you have to make money, but because you want to express yourself. If you had a bad child hood while you were growing up, I want to hear it. I want to hear the things you want other people don't always see. Its a spiritual thing, you 'think' about what they say, you don't just 'dance' to it.

And from what Super Pancake said, being a role model and rapping about whats true about the hood.

This site is dedicated to telling people what hip-hop really is grin2.gif . This link brings you to a couple of editorials, and they're quite explanatory of real hip-hop.

http://www.nobodysmiling.com/hiphop/editorials.php
about:blank
I think being "real" in rap is just like being "real" in life. If they go around lying to people, acting tough and running scared, trying to buy people's friendship and snitching I would consider them to be "fake." Basically I would see them as a person attempting to cover up what they really are. I really hate when people do that. Similar to the rap game, I don't want to hear about a bunch of street credit if they don't have it. If they were a bad influence on society, I don't want to hear about them being a great person. Just the same, I don't want to hear a real good influence on society talking about selling drugs. Be truthful to whatever lifestyle they grew up in and I will be willing to listen.

Just wanted to tell you all it's started! Mobb Deep and M.O.P. new artists signed to g-unit records made a music video with 50cent. In the video they are wearing t-shirts sayiing GAME OVER. So you can take that as a diss to Game.

The video is Outta Control *Remix* coming out on the new 50cent MASSACRE album released for september. Its the same tracks just a few bonus songz and a bonus dvd.

Guess Mobb Deep turned on Game....

wtf u talkin bout dre for ... arent u the guy that like japanese and indian music man shhh don speak wut u don know
Super Pancake
@saladins follower

So what if I like Japanese and Indian classical music if you know me you would know I love "music" not just rap, there is a world of music you know, I have a very opened mind! Also if you read through this thread you would know I know a lot about hip-hip not only the music but the whole damn culture so you don't speak what you don't know noob.

I own all of Dre's records and his records from the NWA days. I know that Game and 50 is signed to Aftermath owend by Dre, all I'm pointing out is how Dre gone have two artist that are fighting each other and they on the same label. As a owner and producer I would not want to of my best artist at each others throat if this beef don't stop one of them might end in the E.R. anyway the point is Dre has been quite about the whole thing.
about:blank
Pancake is right. As a producer... business man... as a professional. He should atleast say something or do something. Make a statement saying anything, "I want no part of it," "They should stop," "Keep beefin', It makes me more money"

Personally I wouldn't say he's a punk, hmm.gif but I don't think he is acting very professional. Any real "corporation" would have settled this, or one of the artists would be getting bounced.

Super Pancake
O.K. he might not be a punk but of all the beefs that he could of been directly (game, 50) or indirectly (east coast vs west coast) be involved with he never said anything.

With his influence I believe he could of directed Tupac and Death Row out of trouble, but he left them hanging saying "been there done that", whatever on a level he could of stopped Tupac from his wild lifestyle. And with this new beef, I don't know, we should wait out and see what happens, and he has been working on his album, but still atleast show some interest on the two artist.

It makes me wonder if Dre is afraid of beef, ever since Eazy E and other beefs with other west coast artist it seems like he always step back and let it die down. Its kind of weird how one of the big boys of west coast rap is never involved in beef in the west or tries to stop it. It wasn't a while ago that Dre, Snoop, and Suge annouced the beef that hurt west coast hip hop for a while now squashed it took that long to end the beef between rappers in the west coast.
about:blank
I think the Eazy E beef kind of messed with Dre's mind. As Eazy was dying from AIDS, Dre went to apologize, but apparently Eazy was comotose. That's a tough thing to deal with, because they were pretty close. I saw some footage of them together pre-beef and they acted like brothers. But that aside, he should still make a statement...

QUOTE

Perhaps that's why he is still making big money today. While Suge is/was jailed? Eazys dead. Pacs dead. Bigs dead. Could just be one of his strategies to stay alive, or atleast survive economically in the rap game. Who knows?

Well, this 'fale' beef is seriously elevating. 50 Cent put out four coffins on the stage and labeled them after the rap artists he was beefing with, including The Game. He will also release a music video where M.O.B. or Mobb Deep (?) wearing "Game Over" shirts...

And The Game with his 'G-Unot' shirts, he dedicated one entire album just to diss 50 Cent and the rest of G-Unot. One very long track called '300 Bars and Runnin' also dedicated to 50 Cent.

And almost none of these things are on the Media!

I seriously think this beef is fo real.

Thanks to you guys for the info wink2.gif

Yeah but what about hate it or love it and that other one they were mates then
about:blank
I'm not sure if they have ever been "mates." I heard the tension started when Dre was working more with The Game than he would with 50. Because they were both making their new albums. That was prior to any videos were made. I think at the "Hate it or Love it" stage the beef hadn't started but the tension was already there, and it was good exposure for both of them.

I used to think this beef was fake, and just for record sales, but it has lasted so long. Usually those beefs end after an album comes out, but they are still firing at eachother. 50 is trying to get more dudes on his squad to hate Game. Lyrically The Game has got 50 in a world of hurt. But this squad 50's got now could be pretty lethal to Game's career.

It gets me wondering what The Game must be doing now...he's like in his 20's, probably 22. And 50 celebrated his 30th birthday last July (05), clearly 50 has more experience. I think that if The Game is being really hesistant, or just doesn't know what to do, his career is down for sure.

It gets me wondering what he's doing right now for himself...

What I meant was that while 50 Cent is making some courses of action to escalate this beef, I don't know if The Game is doing anything to stop/help/escalate the beef as well. I hear he is making songs day by day, but whatever 50 is doing, its showing everywhere.

Sure The Game/Jadakiss/Nas are lyrically superior to 50. But what would the general public think? It mostly depends on the people that buy the albums. If they like 50 Cent more, than 50 Cent's albums will sell. If they like The Game more, then The Game's albums will sell.

Hell, I could say this if I want. The Entire Underground Rappers Population are lyrically superior to 50, and yet the General Public still favors that pop rapper!

At the rate this is going, I think 50 Cent will recruit more people, have their videos air on MTV/BET/VH1 and Radios everywhere, have them imprint G-Unit on every shirt they can while The Game might not be able to distribute G-Unot shirts. You may try to post a better conclusion, but I think 50 Cent will send The Game to underground rap.

Don't get me wrong, G-G-G-G-UNOT!!!!
about:blank
Let me start by saying, as a veteran listener of "Southern Rap", especially Texas, MIKE JONES IS GARBAGE! He is a one syllable rhymer, that has to repeat the same phrases over and over to get his 16 bars. He is the most lyrically untalented person in the rap game. Listen to his songs it is the same words, same rhymes. He is an insult to Texas rap, and I know there are plenty more rappers from Texas that should be making money before him...

QUOTE

That is 100% true, some people don't listen to rap because they like the music. They listen to because it is what is on MTV and BET. 50 cent falls into that category, people listen to him and buy his albums because he is on MTV, but lyrically he is a punk. The people that actually listen to rap and favor a dude with deep lyrics that have meaning will jump for the Game. But the "pop crowd" has already taken in 50 like family.

By the way, 50 cent got his name from a former street gangster. I read an article in the magazine "Stuff." The original 50 cent was raw. Apparently he was like 5'9 130 lbs. and would clown on people. At one point he went done a street and robbed each store as he was walking. I highly suggest reading about him. You will see why 50 wanted to use his name.

The origin of his name is unknown, but one possible explanation is... At a dice game he walked up with 50 cents and left with $1000.

I'm not saying that at all, but 50's fanbase is larger than The Games. In a freestyle battle The Game would cut 50 up, but when it comes to record sales, 50 has got it. I think The Game is one of the dopest rappers to come out of the "new westcoast," and it's unfortunate this beef got started, because 50 is ruthless. Like I said, The Game has more talent, more skill, and better lyrics than 50, but 50 has got a bunch of loyal fans that continue to buy his worthless records.
