Rap is rediculous. Anyone can put two sentences that sound similar together and slap it on some drum loop that they downloaded and there ya go, its a super rad hit single. Dr. Suess would make a better rapper than anyone else that ever lived.
QUOTE
If your refering to the Rap you listen on TV, I highly suggest you listen to Underground Rap. Its kinda like the 'unheard of' bands, but in Rap. The non-mainstream music, if you will.
Hailo pretty much stated what was on my mind, haha. The unknown artists you listen to is comparable to underground artists in the hip hop area. The same way you hate the BS rock songs on MTV is the same passion that we hate for the hip hop songs on MTV. Before you go dissing a style of music, PLEASE REFRAIN and actually go out and learn the real message of a genre before you make false assumptions about it.

Hey llama ... paca... what ever the hell you wanna be called, get a life, this is called Rap Appreciation Thread, not express wether or not you like it k? Do you have nothing better to do? Go listen to Coldplay or something god, some people, and a trumpet solo is harder than a guitar, I bet you haven't even played one, now go away.

Stalingrad, you are the last person on this sight that should be telling anyone to get a life. You post almost 80 times a day... Not only that but you go onto other boards such as the conspiracy theory one and make, in your own words, "pointless arguements" so shutup. I'm sure you found it easy to solo like Van Halen, or pound the drums like Mike Portnoy, but you couldn't handle those crazy ass trumpet solo's... I highly doubt you've ever had a lesson in either. And if you have, you should demand your money back, because he apparently told you that you just have to "hit your hand" on the guitar. My brother used to play trumpet , now he plays guitar. And he honestly laughed when I asked which is harder to play. So no. And thats a good point, this is a rap appreciation only thread. So I'll be going.
You're still a moron though.

Me, the most dedicated rao fan? naw, I think it goes between 2Pac, Arben, DarkSinister, Super Pancake, or abour:blank....i'm not into the real rap funamentals yet
lonelyalpacafarmer. You are completely excused. I know you don't like rap very much, but thats fine with everyone on this board (except probably those who like 50 Cent

). I don't understand, however, why you see Dr. Seuss as a good rapper. I would consider his lyrics 'Nursery Rhymes' than 'Rap Verses'. Rap lyrics are very much more complex than rhyming, and tell a very deep message that the untrained ear cannot listen to. I really hope this verse shows a good example of what i'm refering to. Eminem's 'Like Toy Soldiers' is probably one of the only good mainstream songs out there, next to The Game's 'Dreams' and Kanye West's 'Diamonds' (in my opinion)
QUOTE(Eminem 'Like Toy Soldiers')
I'm supposed to be the soldier who never blows his composure
Even though I hold the weight of the whole world on my shoulders
I am never supposed to show it, my crew ain't supposed to know it
Even if it means goin' toe to toe with a Benzino it don't matter
I'd never drag them in battles that I can't handle unless I absolutely have to
I'm supposed to set an example
I need to be the leader, my crew looks for me to guide 'em
If some sh** ever just pop off, I'm supposed to be beside 'em
Take a listen to the song, its pretty alright. If your interested,
here are the full lyrics. (I ramble about this song too much

)

If they go talking about things I don't want to hear about, then no. Hate it or Love it (G-Unit Remix) is probably their best song...

Yeah, i saw that interview and pretty much, he's right. Kanye is bringing fresh beats, new styles, and new sounds to the mainstream and hip hop in general; he deserves to be recognized as an artist and a producer. I dont really think of him as cocky either, because he explained his position and I agree, he changed the music industry and deserves his credits. I think he is also a role model...remember how he used the analogy of the divorce parents and the break up of Roc? That was deep, he was man enough to state he did wrong to Damon and didnt kick around the bush. Anyhow, i would love to hear any opinion you guys may have? Oh have any of you seen the wild n' out show with Kanye guest appearing though? haha, it was hilarious at the freestyle battle thing.

Kayne weak? I would think he's pretty much on top of the music industry right now with 50 and g-unit along side him. But one thing that is different about Kanye is that he's keeping it real. I mean, he's carrying Roc all by himself.
Anyone hear Young Buck and Llyod Banks got arrested on gun charges? Whatever happened to Cassidy and his case anyhow?

I guess this is where you and I differ. I don't have anything major against Kanye West or anything but from my perspective he does indeed sound very cocky and feels as though the whole Hip-Hop Community owes him a big "Thank You" for supposedly coming and saving the industry from a very fragile standing after only 1 album.
Also when he stated that any magazine that does not give his albums rave reviews is going to lose credibility is very cocky and arrogant in his part. Even the best in the business have dropped some very bad albums that does not mean that it should get great reviews from the critics based on his previous album(s).
