50 is a retard. if you look past his good beatrs, he's all about himself. it's not just how good he is at rhyming, but what he stands for. i dunno. he was way better back in the day. I mean he's got some sick ass rhymes, but his personality kills it, like ludacris

if you don't understand it (which you obviously don't) it would have been better to jsut ask what it all means. It's annoying how sensitve all the people here are to rap. none of them undersstand it and they kill it for those who do. all they hear is the words and instantly they think "oh, all they wanna do is kill" it's so annoying thatNOONE understands rap and they all think that they do
_hAiLO_
It was only Battle Rap...not meant to emotionally hurt someone, but declare the better lyricist.

Anyway, I guess we should have created a thread that would have us rap about what we see. Like put a picture of mountains, and just rap away, and then we would vote who had the more meaningful verse laugh.gif

Lets do it?

I'm feeling a little down, not because we're under attack/
But because we got ourselves in a mess presently in Iraq/
I wish the poor and poverty stricken had Plasma TV's/
They'd be Middleclassmen like us, listen to classic BeeGee's/
Never a house in fire, but more jobs for hire/
It should be a miricle underway, no mistakes or apparent liars/
"Lets blame everyone especially president Bush"/
Than fix the mistakes that we let go while we sat on our tush?/

No more blaming or more fighting, what set off from 9/11/
An ignition that caused more damage, more people goin' to heaven/
The wrong turns that let in the missles and bombs/
In their home, terrorists will roam free, fighting for right or wrong?/
The Jihad will keep coming, and everything feels so useless/
Both sides under confusion, the UN looking on like their cluless/
Let me sit here behind my computer and forever spectate/
Knowing the love is here, and over there forever hate/

The thread was closed because of the unavoidable reliance on incorporating inappropriate profanities and slang. It has nothing to do with 'sensitivities' or 'understanding', it has everything to do with maintaining a little decorum and decency. This is a family orientated forum and as such we have to restrict the cruder forms of expression. It may be 'poetry' to you, but if it crosses the line it won't be allowed.
This doesn't just apply to 'rap', offensive rock lyrics and poetry have been removed for the very same reasons, so complaining that you're being unfairly singled out is nonsensical. You're required to adhere to the guidelines just like anybody else, keep that in mind if you wish to continue to participate here.

Thank you original.gif . Well, we had a Battle Rap thread, but it got closed...because of the many negativities that it emitted to what may find its way to the children in this forum I guess.

I wrote a rhyme, but I guess it belongs more into a Poetry Thread instead of a Rap thread...

haha i can just drive there and deliver it personally! that'll be tight.

Is there a link to the battle if it's still viewable?
edit- nevermind, i found it.
DarkSinister
Hmmm I just looked over the thread, I must say you guy spat out some crazy flows. But yeah, the artists Joey listed are pretty good, but they make their songs as an expression. Their words are paintbrushes to a canvas and it's meant to move us.

What you guys were doing is battling, you don't spit out about a hidden message or meaning during a battle. You're trying to throw punchlines at each other and see who can clown each other the most. Both emcees know it's a battle and usually don't take any offense. That's an aspect of hip hop many dont understand. I mean you can still flow about heart felt things on your own time, but during a battle, it's like a duel, you bring everything you have. It sucks to see it close before i got the chance to hit it up.. haha

Yup found that out on Black WallStreet.com
FLY SPITTA
A truck driver whose rig was involved in a seven-vehicle accident last month — including the Anger Management 3 tour bus carrying Eminem's DJ, Alchemist, and his latest protégé, Stat Quo — filed a lawsuit Thursday against the

Detroit rapper, seeking unspecified damages for injuries, medical expenses and lost wages.

The suit, which also names the driver of the bus, Charlie Dilligard, and tour bus company Entertainment Coaches of America, claims Breck Wyngarden and his wife, Ascension "Tina" Wyngarden, both suffered injuries as a result of the July 13 pileup (see "Anger Management Tour Bus Crashes; Stat Quo, Eminem's DJ Among Those Injured"). The motion also seeks damages for economic losses.

Breck Wyngarden was treated for rib injuries while his wife sustained "permanent" head, neck and back injuries in the crash; she's also recovering from surgery to repair a herniated disk. The lawsuit claims "a bus driven by Dilligard hit the rear passenger side of the tractor trailer driven by Breck Wyngarden at a high rate of speed." Wyngarden's wife was a passenger in the truck and was moving from its bunk area to the front seat at the time of the impact, the force from which "threw her to the front compartment of the tractor, severely injuring her."

According to the suit, the accident near Kansas City, Missouri, sent Wyngarden's truck over a highway median and "into oncoming traffic, where he was eventually able to gain control" of the truck. The couples' injuries were the direct result of the bus driver's negligence, the suit charges; it accuses Dilligard of "traveling at an excessive rate of speed," among other things.

In addition to his bodily injuries, the suit says Wyngarden suffered financially. His truck was out of commission for weeks while it underwent significant and costly repairs, hence resulting in the loss of wages.

This is the second suit filed against Eminem, who was not on the bus at the time of the accident, in as many weeks. Last week, his aunt and uncle, Jack and Betty Schmitt, sued Em, claiming he was trying to evict them from a home he'd built for them in Michigan. The suit seeks more than $350,000 as well as the house at the heart of the dispute.

A spokesperson for Eminem's label, Interscope, would not comment on the suit.

Obviously some people are a little slow on the uptake, so let me make the point perfectly clear. Any offensive material posted to this thread will be removed, the member guilty of the offense suspended and the thread closed. You wanted a warning 2Pac? this is it. We can't please everyone, either learn to live with the conditions set within the guidelines, or face the consequences. We like to think that this forum covers a wide variety of subjects, unfortunately your choice of 'expressionism' is inappropriate. Voice your displeasure to your hearts content, but be advised, open defiance to a stated request will be dealt with harshly and permanently. Thank you for your understanding.

Edit; removed offensive lyric's. That's 3 days, saladin. The slow on the uptake was directed mainly at you, apparently you didn't get the hint.

ya the cd looks like its gonna be good... you saw that interview with him and sway
FLY SPITTA
Yeah watched it Kanye is a real artist!!! He tells it like it is that was a good interview.
_hAiLO_
I might want to get the album original.gif .

Kanye is one of the very good artists out there in the mainstream who is keeping it how its supposed to be...not that there are any rules to music, but what I mean by 'supposed to be' is 'how I like it' grin2.gif

I wish some of the Underground Rappers would step their game up and get into the mainstream with Kanye, so the songs and lyrics that don't talk s*** prevail!!

[edit]When I went to go look for free sheet music, I found 50 Cent's 'In Da Club' song instrumental. But the thing that I, quite strangely, didn't find shocking, was that they labeled his beat under the style 'Pop' laugh.gif
