hahaha trying to star trouble and get this thread locked! laugh.gif

anyway, the people i'm still keeping an eye out for is StrangArm Steady. btw anyone ever heard of raptile? they got soem sick beats, but they're flows are kinda whack. they're europoeans, so, um. nothing against them, but they'r style won't last long in america. they've done work with Xzibit which was pretty good, but they should have let X flow the whole song. anyway, if anyone's ever heard of them see if they agree that they should get contracts doing beats like Lil jon

and about Suge, i'm surpised it's taken this long for something to happen. he's been into some real backwater stuff from the start.

Just listened to G-Unit's "300 Shots" and Mase is nothing but a sell-out. From a minister to now talking about killing and crap it really showed you what money and fame can do to you.

I'm looking forward to an interview where they ask him about his transission from minister to gangster no.gif

I can't believe it, I certainly do hope that they interview Mase and find out what he says about this. From being minister to crap-master, I just with G-Unit would be done with because they're including some of the better rappers in the industry.

And I thought Mase transfered from Priesthood? I don't know...just heard.

Its official, the beef is escalating ph34r.gif . And may the booty shakers make their decision about who technically is the better rapper.

I blame the booty shakers of the United States for every shaking their booty instead of listening to the lyrics in the first place rofl.gif ...however I do booty shake myself cat.gif

Can't believe Yayo

Yayo- "Yeah Game was scared of 50 they all scared Joe keep ya day job. He ain't selling records man"

Yayo can't talk nothing
Euphoric Deception
I started listening to rap and hip hop when I got tired of rock music last year. I haven't discovered as much songs as I liked in rock/alternative music though. Some of my favorites are Ain't Nothin But a G-Thang, Let Me Ride, Eazy-er Said Than Dun, and Jump (Kriss Kross). They're something different..

Anyone have some songs to suggest? I would appreciate that.
_hAiLO_
Wow, I seriously suggest you check out Underground Rap if your heavy in the lyrics thing! Try listening to Kanye West, and Commone if you like the mainstream taste. But the underground touch keeps it flowing like poetry (sort of). Try Hieroglyphics for starters, songs: 'Soweto', 'Make Your Move', they're my favorite grin2.gif .

If you want, I can upload them.

When does his album come out? It was supposed to be out a month ago but they kept pushing it back.
FLY SPITTA
It dropped August 30th the numbers for his sales should be out Tuesday or Monday.

I'm glad to say that Tony Yayo still has his day job "just in case his album don't sell 1,000 records."

Yo what up homies

I must admit that I kind of fell of the rap scene even lost focus on the underground, been building up my Jazz collection.

Anyway I got the new Kenya West cd grin2.gif I have to admit I wasn't expecting much, because a lot of artist usually fall off on their second album and I thought the first album was overrated, but Kanye delivers and delivers good. I won't say its my new jam but its good enough for me to give him his respect. I Love the collabo he did with Adam Levine Maroon Five (one of my favorite alternative rock bands) "Heard Em Say" a good song. "My Way Home" with Common is really good, and "Touch The Sky" with Lupe Fiasco is tight, and Hey Mama is comparable to Tupacs Dear Mama, except he does not sound real on that track. As for the rest I did not get to deep into them I just got lost into the instrumentals which are good on every track. And if your expecting a hardcore album this is not the album for you, I felt the album was more bubblegum pop music (because he sounds soft on most of the songs it seemed like he could never get serious with his voice sometimes it got annoying to me his flow is o.k. but its like his voice lacked feeling) then a dark gritty album like Nas and Tupac would put out.

I concure, who are your favorite artist? Let me post some very intelligent, worthwhile and motivating lyrics by Grandmaster Flash.

The message

Broken glass everywhere
People pissing on the stairs, you know they just
Don’t care
I can’t take the smell, I can’t take the noise
Got no money to move out, I guess I got no choice
Rats in the front room, roaches in the back
Junkie’s in the alley with a baseball bat
I tried to get away, but I couldn’t get far
Cause the man with the tow-truck repossessed my car

Chorus:
Don’t push me, cause I’m close to the edge
I’m trying not to loose my head
It’s like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder
How I keep from going under

Standing on the front stoop, hangin’ out the window
Watching all the cars go by, roaring as the breezes
Blow
Crazy lady, livin’ in a bag
Eating out of garbage piles, used to be a fag-hag
Search and test a tango, skips the life and then go
To search a prince to see the last of senses
Down at the peepshow, watching all the creeps
So she can tell the stories to the girls back home
She went to the city and got so so so ditty
She had to get a pimp, she couldn’t make it on her
Own

Chorus:
It’s like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder
How I keep from goin’ under

My brother’s doing fast on my mother’s t.v.
Says she watches to much, is just not healthy
All my children in the daytime, dallas at night
Can’t even see the game or the sugar ray fight
Bill collectors they ring my phone
And scare my wife when I’m not home
Got a bum education, double-digit inflation
Can’t take the train to the job, there’s a strike
At the station
Me on king kong standin’ on my back
Can’t stop to turn around, broke my sacroiliac
Midrange, migraine, cancered membrane
Sometimes I think I’m going insane, I swear I might
Hijack a plane!

Chorus:
Don’t push me, cause I’m close to the edge
I’m trying not to loose my head
It’s like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder
How I keep from going under

My son said daddy I don’t wanna go to school
Cause the teacher’s a jerk, he must think I’m a
Fool
And all the kids smoke reefer, I think it’d be
Cheaper
If I just got a job, learned to be a street sweeper
I dance to the beat, shuffle my feet
Wear a shirt and tie and run with the creeps
Cause it’s all about money, ain’t a damn thing
Funny
You got to have a con in this land of milk and
Honey
They push that girl in front of a train
Took her to a doctor, sowed the arm on again
Stabbed that man, right in his heart
Gave him a transplant before a brand new start
I can’t walk through the park, cause it’s crazy
After the dark
Keep my hand on the gun, cause they got me on the
Run
I feel like an outlaw, broke my last fast jaw
Hear them say you want some more, livin’ on a
Seesaw

Chorus:
Don’t push me, cause I’m close to the edge
I’m trying not to loose my head
It’s like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder
How I keep from going under

A child was born, with no state of mind
Blind to the ways of mankind
God is smiling on you but he’s frowning too
Cause only God knows what you go through
You grow in the ghetto, living second rate
And your eyes will sing a song of deep hate
The places you play and where you stay
Looks like one great big alley way
You’ll admire all the number book takers
Thugs, pimps, pushers and the big money makers
Driving big cars, spending twenties and tens
And you wanna grow up to be just like them
Smugglers, scrambles, burglars, gamblers
Pickpockets, peddlers and even pan-handlers
You say I’m cool, I’m no fool
But then you wind up dropping out of high school
Now you’re unemployed, all null ’n’ void
Walking around like you’re pretty boy floyd
Turned stickup kid, look what you done did
Got send up for a eight year bid
Now your man is took and you’re a may tag
Spend the next two years as an undercover fag
Being used and abused, and served like hell
Till one day you was find hung dead in a cell
It was plain to see that your life was lost
You was cold and your body swung back and forth
But now your eyes sing the sad sad song
Of how you lived so fast and died so young

Chorus:
Don’t push me, cause I’m close to the edge
I’m trying not to loose my head
It’s like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder
How I keep from going under

Oh yeah talking about the president don't like black people or something like that. Because someone said "White people are looking for goods" But black people are stealing/looting" Something like that Kanye was real mad and sad. But someone said something about the black/white people I think Bush not sure.

Yeah, i kinda agree with Kanye. My english teacher discussed this, and there were two separate posters. One had a white couple with stolen goods, and it read 'People picking resources'. Another had a black man carrying a soda bottle, and it read 'A looter swims'.

Its quite angering, the news press these days are being descriminatory.

I agree with Kanye on just about anything he says he's a very intelligent person and what he speaks usually is the truth.

I agree with both of you. I think Kanye has a lot of great things to say that I may agree with, but right now is to concentrate on New Orleans and how to save the people. But whats a better time to voice your opinion when the situation is currently happening?
arben
Kanye West can voice his opinion now since the situation is occuring now, however this concert was designed to raise funds for the victims and not lash out with your own negative feelings about the situation.

He could have said that while in an interview while promoting his album, his website, or any other place- but the relief concert was not the place and I am glad the channel cut him off.

I don't think anyone is disputing the fact that we need more aid sent to the victims of Katrina, however his lashing out did absolutely nothing to ease the situation over there and it only caused friction between the races.
