take the anne summers chain. once the 'fashion and passion' retailer was known for its girl only parties held behind closed doors in suburbia. now it has 120 stores in prime locations.

the company sells £110 million worth of lingerie and sex accessories - including 2 million vibrators - every year and 4000 parties are held every week....

and now there is a new kid on the block - hustlers hollywood, a chain of us stores owned by notorious porn king larry flint, who has just opened his first store in birmingham........

thats just half of the story....i couldnt be bothered to type it all... but i would just like to hear your views on wether this should be so blatantly advertised in a high street or not....

But putting it in high street stores is promoting it realy. What is this world coming too..

how long dya reackon it will be before we get these prudes and rights activist and watever comin and protestin outside the stores b4 they even have a chance to do anything....

there is a sex shop right down my street... called "The Pink Pussycat" lol. I wonder what kids think when they see stores like that?

When I was a kid about 5 or 6 in east Los Angeles, there was an adult theater called the "Pussycat Theater". We drove by it all the time going to and from home.

I had assumed it was a moviehouse dedicated to cat movies. As a cat lover, I had always asked my dad if we could go see a movie there... He was rather diplomatic about it and told me that we could not see movies there as it was closed for renovation.

well we have a couple of your basic side street porn stores but there was one which got closed down about the middle of last year called the pleasure zone...lol...did not just sell nick-nacks and costumes if ya get wat i mean....and now ya can see why it was closed down... ....i live not far from a town that has an anne summers shop in and have been in myself and my god my eyes wre out on stalks... ...i have seen wat they sell at the parties but wow.....
