I would make this a poll question, but the Colts and Patriots are still playing. With the playing field down to almost four, who is going to win the superbowl....
Atlanta Falcons, Patriots/Colts, Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers
I think The Eagles and Steelers will meet in superbowl with Steelers winning.

Colts win by a HUGE margin.

i was hoping the colts would win it, but it doesn't look like it. there are 3 mins. on the clock, and the colts are trailing by 17. maybe if it was a home game they woulda had better chances.

I don't follow football at all....Although the Eagles are the local hometown team, I think they'll make it to the super bowl...But they always blow the super bowl. So who knows!

Sorry guys, the Colts were the most explosive team heading into these games and the Pats made them look pathetic. NE will once again win it all.

I'm happy that the Colts lost after tearing apart my Broncos, but this weekend, it's the:
Falcons @ Eagles
Patriots @ Steelers
I believe the Steelers are going to win because they already beat out the other two best teams in the league, Eagles and Patriots during the regular season. Falcons are a nobody team, just had a good schedule

patriots and atlanta.
eagles will not win.
patriots will win the superbowl in 2005. it seems the patriots are alway shaving to prove themselves.

Superbowl 49 will take place in the year 2015.
It's way too early to tell who's gonna win

The Steelers already beat New England once. And beat them by 14 points. They have the top ranked defense in the AFC. The Pats are the 4th ranked offense in the AFC.
The Steelers have the 8th ranked offense in the AFC. The Patriots have the 7th ranked defense in the AFC.
New England is going to see nothing but yellow towels twirling around in that stadium.
The Patriots are a great story. And I've loved watching their run. (although I loved watching their very first Super Bowl performance most....as it came in 1986 against my Chicago Bears.....)
Steelers win this one. But not by much. 17-14 on a last-second Jeff Reed field goal in overtime.

wow, thats a pretty detailed prediction. i'm also hoping for the steelers to win. next year though, i'm hoping for the cowboys to go back to the super bowl, with drew henson leading them.

yes, very tur. however, i presume you are a big football fan like myself and know that stats mean nothing in the playoffs. the playoffs my friend are played at a different level. ask Peyton Manning.

New England will be looking at a TON of yellow towels twirling in the stands............

Man I don't know. It'll be awfully tough for them to win in Pittsburgh. The Steelers are on a roll, although they had a rougher time against the Jets than they expected. But they find ways to win.
But someone mentioned Drew Henson earlier in this thread.
I wonder if he and Tom Brady ever talk. And I would love to be able to listen in to those conversations.

so you, like me, root for the team that we feel is the most dominant???? you don't go by favorites then right????
MedicTJ
Jan 21 2005, 05:06 AM
I'm not rooting for anyone, really. I just think that with the Pats in that stadium...with those fans.....it's gonna be tough for them to win.
I don't think the game will be a blowout by any means. And I think it'll be one of the best games we'll see in a long, long time. In fact, it'll probably be better than whoever plays in the Super Bowl.
Steeler fans are diehard to the core and they have to be the X-factor in this one.
The only thing that weighs in here with me is Roethlisberger. Rookie QB who's had a great run at it. But Brady has the experience in the playoffs...and he always seems to come up big.
I'm saying the Pittsburgh defense holds Brady down enough to allow the Steeler kicking game to win it.
As long as Ben doesn't hand the ball over to the Pats, and they can run their normal ball control offense......then I can see Pittsburgh moving on.
BUT....if Roethlisberger tries too much, he'll make rookie mistakes. And the Pats are NOT a team you can make mistakes against. They'll make you pay.

Let me get down to brass tacks.
If the game was played in New England, the Pats win.

Cajun, I think I can predict something else here with a fair amount of accuracy.
That field is gonna be white.
If you remember a couple of years ago, the Patriots/Raiders AFC Championship game, I think it's gonna be a lot like that. By game time, the entire Pittsburgh area will be in the thick of the huge snowstorm that is getting ready to pound the midwest and head east.
We'll be getting it here in a few hours in Indiana.
