Vamp wannabe are a BIG poser who shop at Hot Topic. Most goths are a poser too. Most of posers come from some fatass loser spend whole time in the basement who want to fit in somewhere and scare off everyone else. I know few real goths people and most of them have GREAT sense of humors and enjoy a intelligent consveration and are easy to get along with. Nothing is more sexy than a goth lady, punk lady are NICE too as long as they arent too hard core (ie shaving part of their head, piercing all over, etc...). I believe that vamp is basically a disease and that they came from a legend, nothing more peroid.
Janiel
I agree with al that goth stuff, as you should remember tongue.gif
good point on the Vampirism, there is a disease that makes you allergic to sunlight

HaHa! Vampires are posers who shop at Hot Topic! That's great! Thank you for the Chuckle. What a great way to end my work week!
Cobalt Demon
Seriously I have seen vamps wannabe wear a plastic cross left over from Halloween with some kind of clothes from Hot Topics, put fake blood around their lips and down their chin, a cloak, fake fang, etc... No wonder I had absolutely NO respect for those people!

"I know one thing for sure. That one one thing is that "Vampires" will never die, in a historical sense. As long as there are believers, followers, wannabes, and even skeptics; as long as someone is thinking about the subject of Vampires, they will never cease to 'exist'"-Arsenik

w00t.gif vampires? what are we saying? Vampires may have been just people with the wacky sickness that makes then hungry 14-7 and their eye sight sensitive to light.
Wild_Woman
nearly every nation had vampire legends. The Aztecs, The native Australians, etc., et., etc., and nearly everywhere that had human habitation. THese reports would have come from places that had been too far apart for rumors to spread. too have all these vampire stories there would have to be some truth behind the legend.
Sigmund Fraud
For God's sake people get a GRIP! wacko.gif

Legends and folklore come and go. They're created by superstitious people who didn't really know what they were experiencing. Vampires are a rather complicated mixture of folklore and beliefs which I don't really see the point getting into here. Part of stuff comes from the Vlad Tepest incident but there's more to it than that, just nothing supernatural if you just would dig into it!

Never just believe! Always dig more deeply into the stuff to find out if you're making a complete ass of yourself.

Hey.I have an interesting(well i think it is tongue.gif )theory on the existence of vampires. Here it is. In our world there are many different mutations of already existing species, that essentially become a new species. If other animals can make such adaptions,or mutations, call it what you like. Then why cant humans.its hard to believe that we,such a huge species, have never adapted one bit,and many other species have. What if,somewhere out there, there is a person who has mutated in some way,and is what we would essentially call a vampire. Please giveme your comments on this and feel free to criticise and give your own opinions i wanna know what people think. original.gif

There has been different types off of human breaking off of homo erectus. Where just the only know one left.
laveticus666
But as for there being acualy blood sucking super humans, I doubt it. As said before there probly just cults or humans with a disease but i do believe that there are psychic vampires.
Arsenik
The psychics are real. Example: when I'm depressed I go find someone else who's depressed, and depress them more. That right there feeds my mind.
Noob Siabot
Why are vampires under cryptids?

I've always believed and wanted to believe that vampires exist, I just feel something as widespread and old as the legend of Vampires/Vampyres. Sure it's been heavily exploited and exaggerated by Hollywood. I'd love more than anything to find hard evidence that the vampires of early legend and lore existed, but right now at best we live in a world filled with blood fetishists and roleplayers posing as vampires.

Cronos
I don't believe in vampires because they really don't make any sense. How the heck are you going to kill enough people to keep yourself alive without tipping off the police? Your hideous teeth would give you away, so the only sure-fire way of remaining a secret is to never ever be seen by anyone, which is impossible. Especially in Tokyo or Chicago. You may be able to get away with it in Antartica preying on scientists and seals perhaps but then you would have to become immune to the extreme cold, as you could not live in the labs without being seen. With all those kills under your belt you would probably be very antisocial and dress accordingly which again, would pinpoint you as, "that shady guy on the end of the street".

I know this is probably a stupied question, but could someone please awnser it for me.  Is there any hard evidence that vampires really do exsist? besides what everyone has herd through movies , books and television?

Vampires exist enigma....ask Dr. Hugo Pecos. He encountered many vampire and zombie cases. That's one reason he got divorce by his first wife , its because he has no time for them because his work is so demanding. Search for him in googles, i lost his email address, he is an old gentleman , he has his own site, i think.

www.fvza.org

Hope, it will give you a clue to whats really going on...in our world, not familiar to what we accustomed to know. If you seek it, youll find it.

I think vampires are real. I mean they've been around for millions of years. Think about it. There's books about them and movies. Or that commercial for the Ritz crackers. So I think they are real. I always read about them. I would like to know if there are actually some vampires out there. One of my friend thinks i'm really weird for thinking they are real. I may be weird but i really don't care.

Hi Moongirl,

Here is one of the proof that they exist, one of our old government secret organization called Federal Vampire and Zombie Agency, has some of their memorablia museum here.

I must be a vampire.... everyone tells me that I suck! Ok, I kinda stole that from Dusk till Dawn.

But seriously, there was a guy in Hugo, Oklahoma that claimed to be a vampire. Nobody that I know of ever saw him during the day, but I think the guy was just puttin' on, cause I never heard of a meth-addicted vampire before. I never heard of him sucking the blood out of anything either.

yeah well there are a lot of freaks in Hugo.... and most of the people do suck... just not blood

moongirl90...

Im very sorry to awaken you out of your dream, but do you have any idea where the "vampire" was born ?

It was because of the first horror movies that actors were forced to use fake pointy teeth, but they werent able to talk properly with a mouth full of fake monstrous teeth. So they came up with a sollution....remove all the other fake ones till the two fangs were left. And TADA ! the vampire was born. Actors were able to talk properly and they still looked scary. And since then people started with the vampire stories as we know today.

Arsenik
I'm sorry, but do you know how many people have come through here and have said the same things, trying to disprove us? Your bit text is nothing compared to what we have covered. So this dream you speak of... It is you who needs to awaken. devil.gif Know thy place, young one

"Know thy place, young one"

I know my place.......its still on the top of the foodchain

So Mr.Arsenik, if you're so convinced that "they" really exist, where's the proof then ?
The Skeptic Eric Raven
I am curiouis as how old the posters are on this forum. Either very young, or not very intelligent. I like all the supposed vampires I see on varioius message boards. They are usually fat, socially retarded people that have no life other than the fanasty life on line. Grow up. I would love for supernatural vampires to real. It would make our boring lives so much more interesting, Who would not want to be immortal and have powers above normal humans. It comes down to this, bs until proven legit. Anyone who thinks they have proof of a supernatural vampire(not just a goth who wants to sip blood)email me. I would love to be proven wrong.
Also, whoever put up that link fvza.org is stupid. That website is for entertainment . I can't believe people will believe anything they read on line. Idiots.
TresPuntos
Wooohooooo !

EXACTLY

I totally agree with you ericraven2003 thumbsup.gif
Arsenik
You see my signature? That is actually me. Slightly PhotoShopped. So, in response to your skepticism, when it comes to the subject of proof, where is the proof opposing us. And if your skepticism is based on movie facts and cartoons, than please see post number 185 on this thread. It will explain much.

QUOTE(Arsenik @ Oct 11 2004, 02:57 PM)
But has anyone considered the other traits?. . . . sensual, seductive, lonely, emotionless, coldhearted, angst. These words have defined what it is to be a "Vampire" just as long as the others. . . . What makes a vampire truly a vampire; is their personalities, lifestyles, or ways of thinking, and not a pair of fangs. What I hoped to have done is not to create a second kind of vampire, but to correct the stereotypes that disprove our existence.

I do agree that there is a difference between "real" vampires and the fictional story kind.... however, I do have some problems with this statement. Really, as far as my research has shown me, vampires were almost never identified by their social traits that you listed above. Rather, vampires were almost always defined as the undead, or corpses returned from the grave.... usually associated with blood (or other "disgusting" human substance) consumption.

From The Vampire Watcher's Handbook:
QUOTE
... two crucial traits unite and define these evil entities. The first-...is the "undead" state ... The second defining trait of a vampire is the requirement for sustenance, be it in the form of food, psychic or sexual energy, or blood.

While I do not believe that this defined form of vampire exists, it is the most common mythological definition of a vampire. However, I mainly post to debate the claim that vampires have been associated with sensuality and angst, among the other emotional traits listed above.

Unless you have a source that proves otherwise, I have never heard of vampires being associated with any form of emotion (other than possibly hate or rage) in mythology dating as far back as the origins of vampirism. Truly, I believe vampires were not given these traits until romantic literature (primarily following the publication of Stoker's Dracula) took an interest in the topic and created the "emo" vampire.

If you have something to contradict that, then by all means let me know. original.gif
Arsenik
Finally, someone who can hold a debate. But unfortunately, I have had an epiphany. Do any of us really have a reliable source? Now days all anything is, is what we make it. Thus leaving topics such as this one, unsolvable. Therefore, anyone may say what they like dispite the fact that there are no real sources.
