LOL haha rofl.gif laugh.gif That was the whole point of my comment and post.... tongue.gif I'm not really that STUPID you know innocent.gif I do know all the emblems of scot, N.Ire, Wales n Eng... plus I know they're countries, I was only making a comparison with the American states you you yuoooo ragng Loch Ness Monster. I was just being a bit wacko.gif so take a chill-pill maybe gulp it down with some Irn-Bru and a plate full of haggis... Anyway back to the main point... We have the BEST footy/soccer team in Britain so don't be such a crybaby and admit it tongue.gif you just can't handle it grin2.gif

Ps. I'm J/K... heres is the true emblem of scotland and that which truly epitomises the Scottish MAN...

Guide
1.Reggae originated in the glens of Scotland. Early Scotsmen were big fans of Bob McMarley. rofl.gif
2.Wig (optional) made from haggis hair. grin2.gif
3.Targe or small wooden shield. The design was inspired by the king himself ...Elvis Presley. tongue.gif
4.Scotsmen never shine their shoes as this may reveal what's under the kilt.
5.Basket-hilted sword (BHS for short). The Scotsmen's big chopper invariably scared the enemy stiff. The warrior used to push a sword through his head just to show how ferocious he was.
6.Dirk - used for dicing vegetables preparing salads and opening letters.
7.Sporran (Gaelic for nut pouch). Most Scotsmen keep money in their sporran because if robbed at least they enjoy the experience. grin2.gif
8.Kilt - If a Scotsman was to take this off you'd be shocked! It would stretch twenty four feet ... the kilt! w00t.gif grin2.gif

Advantages to UK

*UK is great for food, we have as many varieties as anyone else and our traditional home-cooked meals are completely awesome. If all you hear about is limited to black pudding then of course you're not going to know much about our food. Hardly anyone eats black pussing anymore, it's not too common except with older/rural folks.

*We have far less gun/violent crime.

*Our government half as controlling, undemocratic and ruthless as yours.

*We are an island, yet geographically close to the important nerve-center of Europe.

*Our press has a freedom of speech you will never dream of under your current government. Our T.V. laws are also far less strict, we can do and say more on TV that in the USA would be unacceptable, more sex, nudity and swearing (not excessive, just a right to express).

*English accent.

*We are looked upon far more favourably than the USA in world-terms.

*More stable economy, cleaner place to live as far as pollution is concerned.

Advantages for U.S.A.

*Far cheaper than the UK, especially electrical goods/fuel, but lower salaries for equivalent jobs.

*Far more good-looking people, simply due to your massive population. Amazing uber-chicks in abundance though.

*Warmer weather than the UK for the most part.

*Beautiful scenery and wild-life.

And in general, English girls don't like USA accents, trust me, lol. And a scouse accent is easily the worst in the UK, and everyone makes fun of it. laugh.gif

Wow, Richdog, that's biased and a half tongue.gif

Personally, i pick neither. I'm not happy with America, and Brittian isn't appealing to me. I'd rather go to canada tongue.gif
Or maybe the carribian
The Skeptic Eric Raven
I have a friend that lives in the UK. He says over half his income is taken by taxes. He also said it is really expensive to live there for the average person(housing, cars, gas, food). Could not deal with that. USA all the way. If I wanted to live somewhere else it would be the Caribbean.
spooks
nope still britain, european guys are cuter, drinking age is lower (roll on april) what more can i ask for? laugh.gif
Janiel
I still don't like how you can drink when you are 18. I don't think most people are responsible enough to drink that young. You are, afterall, still a teen.
spooks
lol janiel, trust me its more the 20 yr olds who u want to worry about here, we're fine as18 yr olds but ty for your concern *cough mum cough* j/k hon, love u really laugh.gif

Janiel
Well, you can learn to drive, shoot etc. But you can't learn to drink in the same context tongue.gif

Some rumors about Britain, put fourth through tabloids and cheap sitcoms.

1. Britain does not ALWAYS rain. It's true, we get a lot of the stuff, but some times of year we have better weather than some northern states.

2. Accent?! What accent? Maybe we don't notice it because we speak it, but th way I see it, you americans have an accent. We speek english properaly. After all, we invented it!!!

3. We all live in mud flats. okay, this is an exageration, but most Americans think they're millions of times more cultured than us Brits. We bought culture to America, not the other way around.

4. We all have really bad teeth. I don't even know what bought this one up.

5. We all drink gallons of tea.

6. We all wear top hats, walk around with canes saying 'What what?' and 'What ho, old chum?', live in turn of the centurey grotesque buildings, have monocles and spend our days talking about how great America is.

You'd be surprised how many people take some of these seriously.
kingdude22a

I've never met anyone in my life who thought either of those things, nor have I even heard it. If anything, we Americans think you guys are more cultured than we are. I mean, Americans watch NASCAR. rolleyes.gif

And I know few American who even know what a 'monocle' is. laugh.gif ( for any who need it, think the Monopoly guy's eye-glass) And we would never be so misguided to think you guys "spend {y}our days talking about how great America is". Ha ha...nope, not at all.
Seraphina
hmm....I don't know if it's the gun culture...or Bush being in power...or the widespread religious fundamentalism, but I can't say I'd like to live in America, no huh.gif

Then again, a few more years of this political correct rubbish we're getting here, and I probably won't want to live here either tongue.gif Maybe somewhere in mainland Europe...
Stellar
US... I love NY like skylines... loads of skyscrapers... and nice warm weather, nice beaches... Miami.... southern california... damn!

I think it's pretty stupid for someone to try and deny having an accent.

If you SPEAK, you speak a certain WAY. This is called an ACCENT.

If you do not have an accent, you do not have a VOICE.

rolleyes.gif

Sorry, i'm just bitter at this because having moved to canada at the age of 15 just about every canadian i went to school with denied having an accent at all. YOU SPEAK! YOU SPEAK CANADIAN. YOU HAVE A CANADIAN ACCENT. Idiot.

So I'm Sorry to have caused you any offence BUT you should lighten up a wee bit sometimes its good for the ticker thumbsup.gif

Ps. I'm not exactly English (of origin) BUT I do count myself as a Brit/English person nationality wise, and hey YOU don't know how much STICK we've taken from the English in the past ourselves grin2.gif so I know how you feel lol wink2.gif Fortunately for you there's been a sketch show or two portraying many funny sides of my ethnicity grin2.gif you can try watching "Goodness Gracious Me" if you want... or if you want to crack a few jokes about BOMBAY or whatever then feel free to do so... thumbsup.gif

Wun...we are not all like that hun...Im not.

Racial abuse is wrong and out of order.I was born in the UK,my passport says British and I support the England football squad...but I also love watching Scotland,Wales and Ireland's teams play AND win.

I don't care where someone is from...if I like them then we are friends...if I don't like them then it has nothing to do with me being racist...its just I don't get on with them.

Hope that makes sense hun. wub.gif

Wun you need to lighten up.

Oh the years of hearing how we are all convicts here....... Poking fun at stereotypes in itself isn't racist, your taking the mickey out of something that already is a joke.....

Hell everytime it comes to saying something about myself, I say im a typical Aussie.... lazy.... I think people need to find the ability to look at themselves in a humourous light, rather then waiting to take offense.....

Racist is a belief of superiority over another race..... I dont think that was ever the question here.....

Anyhow, I pick Britain.... Although being in Australia i feel like we are a miniture mix of the two....

America. Better climate (depending on where you are) & better lifestyle.

Can I come stay as well?
Mad Manfred
Sure! Just remember we're having a water shortage...we're recycling our urine so the waters a little tangy! Other than that there are no probs...just remember to bring lots of cheese and don't get in the way of the Stickers. Those guys're a little anti-social.

But seriously, it's a great place to live...the folks a friendly, the grass is green, the sky is blue, monkies are purple and the Prime Ministers an arsehat.

Sorry...I'm in a silly mood blush.gif

I been living in the UK all my young life so far.. 20 years.

And I cannot wait to get out, the wheather is terrible all year around, sometimes we hardly have any summer at all!.

I would like to move to america soon, Better wheather, nicer girls and parts of america is just amazing compared to what we have here.

Ive only visited Orlando tho... So I guess there are some pretty rough areas around the U.S.

Most of the U.K is just Old, old buildings, crappy amusment parks, grey skies all year and you get more food in the U.S for what you pay.

But since the exhange rate is like 1 pound = $1.90 its pretty good tongue.gif

And everything is cheaper in the U.S. UK shops are expensive

And houses are cheaper in the u.s and you get bigger rooms and facilities. Over here you pay 100,000 pound for a small apartment in london. in $ that is close to $200,000 which can get you a big house and swimming pool etc..

mad.gif

This is some shots of where I live around... Mabey some of you can show the you're local area's

Our little Castle in the middle of the city !
