Heya! I was just wondering If anyone here on this glorious,stupendous site had played hackey-sack before? And if so, did you ever go up to competition level?

I've hacked once or twice to pass time in school...never really good though...

Man, thank god that fad died about about 5 years ago.

Im still rubbish though after 20 years,the balls too small and my feet are wonky

OMG, once, my friends and I were watching a bunch of kids who got their hackey-sack stuck on the roof of the Media Center. They were throwing shoes and everything.

From past experience, hackey sack is probably a top ten stoner games. I always loved it. Never competition level, nowhere near. It's hard =\

We played that at school a couple of years ago, but it was never my thing, just a bit of fun between mates really. None of us were really any good!

I play sometimes. During marching band practice we do it during the break. I'm not that good though (no depth perception because of the lack of the eye).

hacky-sack is still one of the greatest games (other than video games)
out there, great way to pass time and lose the pounds.

and i am glad to say that it will never die when i and yona still play!!!!!!!

hmm someone should tell my school... its been "cool" for like 3 years..

then again.. we are so slow.. it takes us forever to get "cool" stuff from like the rest of the country.. like you will see somthing in a magazine like of cali... and then like a year late maine will get into it and start wearing it...

Me and some of my friends started like last year.. just cuzz on of my friends had a crush on a hacky sacker so we tried to help her get his atention...yeah i didnt really join i would stand outside the circle... but when the hackysack came towards me i would snatch it out of the air and CHUCK it across the frield at the guy she liked...LOL..im such a caring friend

I tried it out a few times a long time ago. Wasn't good. Fell every 2nd or 3rd try. Now my game of hackey-sack changed. It's called hit-your-brothers-in-the-sack.

And I'm sure you all know what sack I'm talkin about

I tried playing at school a couple times with the asians...though after hicking their little doohicky over the fence they chased me with their belts

having to bend over every try... or walk all the way/climb wherever it was that I kicked it the few times my foot did connect...

I tried it a couple of times. I was not very good at connecting with that little bean bag.

Indeed, tis much easier to juggle a human head. Just be mindful of the teeth.

How do you play? :S

You have a small bean sack that you can't touch with your hands, feet only. You have to keep the sack in the air by bouncing it off different body parts.... there's a game we play (can't think of the proper name)..... basically if your playing with at least three or 4 people once the sack has gotten to everyone or you successfully stall it you can "fire" at someone else who's is playing.... if you get hit your out.... last one standing wins....

I tried, I looked like an idiot on crack, I quit. That was my hackey-sack experience.

I tried it and was... I think there is a technical term for how I played..... Oh yes, I was crap...

Me and my friends play all the time in spring through fall. We just started againa few weeks ago. We play more as a social thing. Its a good laugh, and a good chance to relax, litsten to music, and talk about life.


Its not a game, its a religious experience!

I used to play it alot when I was in middle school.

We quit playing because we managed to always kick them up on the roof. (We always played outside.)

Last day of school Mr. Janitor went up there and got them all down.

Thats kind of a game with us....try to kick your friends hacky sack on the building We currently have 1 on the school, and like 2 on the credit union

I remember playing murder sack. Hit the sack a set amount of time and catch it you get to whip it at anybody! I still play it every now and then.

Yeah, murder kick ass..............three hits, then grab it and throw it........always fun.

Killer is better...you have to KICK it at the person instead...no hands. Pretty crazy.

Yeah, but I sucke at it, i have no hand eye coordination....

Those games are alright, but they don't improve skill... Play a game called war where 1 person starts hacking until he drops it. Then the next person has to match the number of hits he got, and then add another on top. So, you have 2 trys to match and raise, and you just keep going around in a circle until 1 person is left.

Or you can play Jester games. If you guys know what a jester is? Well, basically it's a game where you can only jester to each other. It helps with control.

And you could also play h.o.r.s.e. to improve your mad trick skills... You do a trick, any trick, and another person has to match it. If he does, then it's his turn to do another trick for you to match. You could also play trick attack, and all you do it get in a circle and you can hit the hack normal, but usually you try and do tricks to pass it around...

But if you download videos of pros playing hack, it's the most crazy sh** to watch.

Yeah, we play numbers.......which Im guessing is the same as war. Firsxt person doesone, second does two etc. You get two tries to acheve your number. If you mess up, it goes to the next person, and if they complete the number, you're out. WIcked fun.

I love hackey-sack(even tho I suck at it), but I play a buch of diffrent games with it to.
(sky hack, four square, 5 dot, 10 dot, 20 dot, just playing, and stuff like that)

What? Care to explain these games?

5-dot, you hit it five times, catch it, and throw it at someone. Sky hack is to hit it as hard as you can, make it go above the building and then another person has to hit it. Four square is where four people get inside a giant square with four smaller squares inside. then when you are pleying you try to keep the hackey sack from falling in your square while trying to get it into anothers.
