Have any of you seen or read of people having sightings of ufos and also seeing huge silent explosions of light. I point this question to all parts of the world. In November and December of last year this is what i was seeing on more than one occasion. I have one bit of film that shows a small ball of light and then the sky around it suddenly explodes with light that has a green tint to it.

I have seen flashes in the sky at night but I just put it off as heat lightning.

Sounds much like how a supersonic jet engine in "spy" aircraft work. No UFO here.

Yeah, without photos to refer to it is really tough to say what it could be. There are many types of natural phenomenon that fit that description, but there is no way to know for sure that is the case without evidence...

I've never seen explosion. I have seen many other things accour before though.

Actually in November of 2003 i did happen to see something i would put in this category. It was at around 11pm , and there were no clouds in the sky. We were in an area right outside the city, which has a bunch of farmland etc. I wasen't really paying much attention , but out of the corner of my eye, i clearly saw a streaking white ball of light comming down at a fast rate. I could see a transparent contrail following it, as it came down from what seemed like nowhere.Soon as it got about 100 feet from the ground, i saw a flash of light, being the same degree of white. It wasen't a large flash, but it was enough to tell my buddy driving to stop and see what it was.
We drove around near the fence, but didnt see anything there. He passed it off as a shooting star that just looked closer then it was, but i knew for a fact it was less then 500 feet away.
I could never explain it , thinking that if a shooting star did happen to hit the ground it would start a fire, or make some kind of explosion of debree.
What really makes me belive it was something unexplained , is how i saw the flash of light before it even would have hit the ground.
This is kinda how i saw it, this is the best i can do for drawing it though.
But far as i know it wasent a meteor or a shooting star, otherwise it would have hit the ground.
