Awwww.... my heart bleeds....lol
AztecInca
Oh I know Subby, you must be so upset that all your young blokes wont get to go up against a one of the best playesr in the league who is still improving. Maybe one of your young blokes is the next Reiwoldt or Judd!
Although they will have their hands full with all our talented young guns liek Ball. Dal Santo, Kosi etc............
Subtemperate
wed only have our hands full if we tried to win...lol

I think your forward line will get a good work out though....

Last year we played without rocca and tarrant from memory, and we were close right up till the end... or you blew us away in the first, and we steadied for the rest.... I cant remember.... lol
AztecInca
I think we got ahead in the first quarter but you steadied and slowly pegged us back before we ran away with it! We never like playing you guys especially at the MCG. You are one of our boogey teams, although we should have the wood over you for this match!
Subtemperate
Well, the players I wanted to see wont get a game this week...lol.... but I am still excited with the fact an ionabuchhi or whatever his name is is in the team. From all accounts hes a paul licuria who can kick...lol
AztecInca
Indeed!

I do believe that the Roo`s fall has begun and hopefully it will continue for long enough so that we can jump above them. They will have their work cut out for them against Port up there.
Fremantle have actually managed to win down here in Melbourne against a real quality team and hopefully can prove they are the real deal.

Subtemperate
Freo won in melbourne....

Did hell freeze over?

AztecInca
I do believe so Subby, Richmond have just thrashed Port the reigning premiers, although St.Kilda and Geelong both won comfortably so maybe its just cooled down a liitle down there!

Its good to see the mighty saints move up to third position on the ladder with a nice big percentage putting us ahead of the pack.

Subtemperate
lol.... all I have to say is....

DRAFT PICKS!!!!!

Im actually glad collingwood battled well today, till towards the end....

Richmond were 5 goals down in the second quater.... and won by 56 points... what in the world is up with port?
AztecInca
It seems that the old port from their beginnings is back and hopefully that means that when we play them we can actually beat them for once.

Collingwood did hold on for much of the game and should be comended for their efforts up until the end. I knew it wouldn`t be a thrashing, we never seem to have confidence against Collingwood, but winning by 38 points is very respectable and helps our percentage.

What about Harvey with 30 possessions, second highest on the ground behind Dal Santo with 31, and then of course there is Gehrig with 8 goals!
Subtemperate
Losing Presti really hurt us, he was doing well on gehrig....

Other then that, having to rely on a forward line consisting of two injury comebacks (Didaks second game, frasers first) and second gamer... and then tarrant.... we were always going to struggle to kick a score...
AztecInca
Good to see Hudgton hold Tarrant to one, after holding Richardson to zero the week before and only allowing Neitz one when we played against the demons and all this without Luke penny. Our defence has really improved over the years!
Subtemperate
Tarrant kicked 2..... lol

Anyhow your right, your defense has improved......
AztecInca
Yes indeed it has and we still have Penny and Powell to return, if only we hadn`t traded off both the wakelins when we wasted a million on Blight who had no clue. One of them actually wanted to stay.

Subtemperate
lol.... well every team has a list of players they should of kept...

Collingwoods: Paul Williams, Brenton Sanderson, Mal Michael... just to name a few....
AztecInca
Too true, we lost Peter Everitt, Barry Hall, Matthew Lappin, Joel Smith etc......

But its the players we have now that we must believe in and rely upon.

Its good to see some order restores on the goal kicking table with actual big forwards up there with Gehrig leading the way. Although Milne is still hanging in there!

QUOTE
Richmond have just thrashed Port the reigning premiers

Yay!! w00t.gif I've had my fingers crossed. Do you think that's why they won? ohmy.gif
Subtemperate
Its quite possible...lol....

They have 3 wins from 5 matches now.....
AztecInca
They are technically equal third on the ladder, but on percentage they are down around 6th or 7th. The afl ladder is a very starnge and unusual place compard to last year. The two Grand finalist are in the bottom eight, Port with only one win, Richmond are in the top 8............... wacko.gif
Kismit
Oh goodness it's worth the spam...

Yay!
AztecInca
Well Gehrigs suspension has been reduced to just one week, but that will really hurt us when we go up against the cats who like us are on a bit of a roll. Although we do have Reiwoldt returning, he wont be anywhere near hia best with lack of game play so it looks like Kosi will have to step up and slot into the forward line and kick us some goals.
Subtemperate
Go geelong...go geelong... go geelong...lol

We play fremantle.... I enjoy being bottom, glad to know it wont change this week....
AztecInca
Noooooo Subby, we are already at a disadvantage with no gehrig and theres a pretty good chance Hamill will miss, if you barrack against us as well then its all over.........wait no for the saviour returns this week and he shall deliever us to glory! lol!

Let me dream subby, let me dream!
Subtemperate
Yes I shall let you dream...lol

I think the most interesting part will be if someone bumps into Riewoldts shoulder now....
AztecInca
Lol! That shoulder will become the most targeted limb in the entire league. And I bet every geelong player will be calling him a cry baby!
Subtemperate
As will I..... lol

"Oh when the saints...come crying in"
AztecInca
With tears of happiness after we win the grand final this year!

Let me dream!!!!!!!!!
AztecInca
Well this rounds games weren`t exactly exciting this week with the exception of the Geelong vs St.Kilda match which was an absolute cracker, with the cats just running over the top of the saints in the last quarter after trailing all day, due to St.kilda losing three key players to injury and already missing two key forwards.
Even Geelong`s Coach conceded that if we had, had our full team out there we would have quite easily won, well sadly we didn`t but next time we meet that game will be evn more exciting.

Subby. subby, subby, the pies got trounced by 112 points, I can understand going for draftpicks, but you still want other teams respect dont you. Well at least it was against Fremantle up at there home ground who were already full of confidence after their last victory.
Subtemperate
Collingwoods injury list team, plus those carrying injuries currently/just back....

L.Davis A.Rocca A.Didak

J.Fraser C.Cloke B.Holland

S.Woewodin N.Buckley B.Johnson

S.Presitigiacomo - leg

G.Richards - (?)

Add to that Paul Licuria acrrying a hamstring problem, you almost have a full team..... One that pretty much made the grand finals but 2 years ago...... I rest my case on why we suck so much....
AztecInca
Poor subby, Im sure next year when all your players are no longer injured and you have picked up some good players from the draft you will be a team to be reckoned with.............

Well I`m quite concerned about St.kildas injuries at the moment we just lost three key players and we have to go up to Subiaco to play the Eagles this week. At least we have Gehrig, hopefully Hamill and Penny returning as well. To give us some sort of hope we can stop the Eagles winning streak!
Subtemperate
All you need is to make Ben Cousins an offer he can't refuse wink2.gif lol
AztecInca
Lol! At the moment anything will help us, bloody Hamill is still injured and now Xavier Clarke is out too, I fear this game could turn ugly unless Guerra, Gehrig, Reiwoldt and Milne kick around 5 goals each. lol!
Subtemperate
Poor saints sad.gif lol

More injuries to you...You shall hence be known as Collingwoods twin....
AztecInca
LOL! Indeed we shall, although I`m quite happy, considering we only lost by 6 goals with 6 key players missing as well as a couple of our average playesr who slot in every now and then. A couple of times during the match we were able to dominate and even manage to win two quarters but sadlyt as our coach sad it, it was too little too late.

Well at least next week Hamill and Penny should return as well as maybe Clarke and Powell.
Subtemperate
Well, we lost Tarrant before the ball was bounced, so I held little hope for this one..... But to my surprise, even though we lost by 33 points or so, the guys played pretty well..... Egan looks very exciting, which is something we definately need, and hopefully he can turn into our own version of Aaron Davey... given more experiance....
AztecInca
Indeed, it was good to see that Collingwood still have some fight left in them and confirmed for the rest of the league that the tigers really aren`t that good just yet!
Subtemperate
True, but they are still above St Kilda wink2.gif lol
AztecInca
Lol! Well next time they lose 6 key players, we will see who is above who!
And anyway our last two matches were tough ones and now we have quite a few easier games coming up and hopefully with players returning over the next few weeks we should be able to string together some wins and get right back up there.
Subtemperate
Its funny.....

Melbourne lose a few key players..... and losing is ok
Brisbane lose a few players....... losing is ok
Port lose a few players...... losing is ok
Collingwood lose almost half its team...... our side is a dud....

AztecInca
Its because everyone hates the magpies subby, its part of the austarlian culture to bag collingwood as it is St.kildas job to win the most wooden spoons and one premiership every century or so. And when St.kilda actually do start to win and look like a real contender all our supporters become very cocky like myself, lol! It doesn`t happen that often so we must embrace it and make the absolute most of it!
Subtemperate
...Doin the happy dance....doin the happy dance....

Man, what a game to watch.... Bottom beating top.... Im seriously pumped up after that win.... original.gif
AztecInca
Indeed after going to the footy on Friday and watching the worst game of Football I have ever seen and having the no longer mighty saints lose again, I was depressed but seeing the bottom side defeat the top was just glorious even if it was collingwood. It was the first time I have ever been rooting for Collingwood to win!
Tis very interesting that this has only happened three times in the past 15 years and St.kilda had been the winner in two of those times, theres nothing like being reminded of where we have spent most of our time. lol!
Subtemperate
It was a very weird weekend of footy.....

Collingwood beat west coast, richmond beat brisbane.... Adelaide beat st's.... Hawthorn beat freo...

What in the world has happened to this place...lol
Dowdy
^
Thats what makes it the greatest game in the world - Is unpredictible

The unpires were pretty shocking with their bounces though
Subtemperate
Yeah.... That was a big problem this weekend....
AztecInca
Well St.kilda cant blame the umpires for their loss on the weekend, they only have thmeselves to blame, they just stopped, although the umpiring was some of the worst I`ve seen for awhile.
Kismit
Poo! You to make me wish I could watch a game. I'm homesick again.
Subtemperate
Richmond are 3rd Kis wink2.gif
Kismit
Yay! See I've had my fingers crossed, just imagine what could have happened had I actually watched a game... w00t.gif

Semis aren't until September though are they?
Subtemperate
lol no... But you are sitting at 7 wins, 2 loses.... with wins against Brisbane and Port..... So your year has been pretty good original.gif
