Oh man, Constantine is going to be awesome! I cannot wait any longer to see this movie..
And the fact that its rated R is great, not kiddying it down for a bigger audience.

This movie looks really good,... I have to agree with hereticdude above that a good portion of the horror movies that have been released recently havent really been scary.. but this one doesnt look as scary as it looks morbid... and some morbid things are pretty freaky

And Keanu seems to be playing his same hollowed out cut-out copy he played in the Matrix movies. This guy has got to be one of the most overrated actors in history...thanks to some pretty computer images and a girly trenchcoat.

I agree with you Mad Manfred...I think he is way to overrated as well.

The Hellblazer comics(which the film is based on)are a bit dark and it is not really what I would class as a horror.

I am a huge DC Comics/Vertigo fan. I am already disappointed in this movie.

I meant they're doing the storyline where John finds out he has developed lung cancer and he goes through this whole thing of making deals with devils so he doesn't have to go to Hell, but ends up screwing the guys in Hell out of it.

I saw the previews for this, first thing I said to my sister when I saw Reeves sitting in his chair;

"Not ANOTHER Matrix movie..."

Naw, it looks okay, another thing that seems to Matrix-y, just put in a different place. Grrrrrr. I bet they have lots of slow-mo in this one, too.

I am gonna watch the movie pretty soon so it better be good.

ugh, I saw this piece of crap. it sucked. not even much action. it was just retarded.

Saw it last night, I turned a blind eye to the hype, the tired story line, and Keanu Reeves and it still sucked big balls, it blows, go see it only if you like cg and keanu. The fight scenes are nice though, if you like action constantine brings it especially the end, but I don‘t get why it‘s rated R it‘s pretty tame, not much gore. The logic of the film just so stretched and confusing (you had to pay attention to get the plot) it made me feel dumb that I almost liked it, but what killed it for me is half the movie Keanu is with that cop girl whoever she is and it slows the movie way down. the movie started out great but they had to try and give a twist to it by bringing a tough on the outside chick but is made out of candy and teddy bears on the inside who is stupid and clueless so the main character has to stop just to explain to her what’s going on. All the other characters were so cool (especially gabriel and the hennessey guy) except for her. I would of loved it if was just kick ass non stop action through the whole movie.

I just saw it and i actually enjoyed it. I like almost every movie I see as long as I understand it, and i understood it well enough, so to me, it was pretty good.

Thats what I thought too. I saw it on Friday but as bad as I figured they'd slaughter it, I didnt think it was that bad. I actually enjoyed it. I do think it would've been a lot better if it had been in London (not fricken LA) he had been British, and it wasnt Keanu Reeves.

i saw the movie yesterday. i really enjoyed it. it was very cool. Keanu seemed to act better than i thought he would. good story line, good effects, good violence...although it could have had a little more action, i guess it just wasnt that type of movie, but i still really liked it. some of the demons were so freakin cool lookin. anyways, it was a good movie and anyone who didnt like it doesnt know a good movie when they see one.

Ok overall this is one hell of a movie...It reminds me of exorcist...

Devil try to take cons' back to hell but suddenly devil could not pulled him anymore and then cons' started to float in heaven and then devil hold him with his two hands and pulled out his cancer...

The devil pulled the cancer out so he would not die. The idea was that if he lived longer he would damn himself again.

i thought, by far, this was the worst movie ever. The story was not written well, there wasn't enough action scenes (which i think the previews lead you to believe) and the ending was childish at best....

Well after watching this craptastic movie the end was'nt that bad I was happy it was finally over.

the end was pretty interesting... especially the very last scene with Constantine... I thought that was pretty cool

I guess to answer your question without going into detail is, John gave his life, which is sacrifice and he was accepted into Heaven. That's why Lucifer whispered, "The Sacrifice" because that's how someone would, apparently, be accepted into Heaven.

The reason why Lucifer didn't want him to go is because he's been wanting John for about 20 years.

The reason why he pulled out his "cancer" was so that John would live longer instead of going into Heaven. And by doing that, John would have to live on earth for as long as it takes...

I thought it was fantastic, the whole story to it just blows you're mind..
The effects are really good, and it's just a must see...

Anyway, I didn't mind the movie never having seen the comics I had to pay attention to work the storyline out. Great special effects.

John visites Chaz’s gravestone. He leaves his ornamented lighter on top of the stone as he sees Chaz in angel form pause on top of his grave before flying up.
