That list sucks.
Not because of your choices...but because all those genres really suck.
Perhaps if you chucked Classical in there too
Anyway, I voted for Metal.

I picked reggae*...but only applying to spanish reggaeton...
NOT the jamaican one, although a couple of good artists did emerge from it, the majority of it is kinda BLAH.
I did like a lot on the list, but I had to be biased because reggaeton is what I produce.

My preferred genre is Rock (Altern Rock, Punk Rock, Indy Rock, what I have dubbed Dry Rock [Bands like Creed and Lifehouse] some classic rock like Queen and Bon Jovi and some Metal like Black Sabbath and Ozzy)
But I can listen to most kinds of music really and either not mind it or fairly enjoy it... like Classical I don't mind and some Dance/Rap/RnB songs I have enjoyed... Although I can't stand 50 Cent and Sean Paul... Couple of no talent ******

i have to say that music imo is similar to the current mma nhb fights that are going on right now-even though i have my prefered style i believe it comes down to the individuals heart hunger or desire to succeed-in music i definetly have my preferred styles but there are many individual artists in many different styles that i really enjoy and in the end it comes down to the individual piece at question-i hate country music but i do enjoy certain songs like hank william jr's-a country boy can survive--i dont care for metal but slayer is hands down one of my favorite artists--i enjoy listeneing to blues,r&b,hip-hop,rock(sabbath,van halen,ac/dc,metallica?) but my heart is in REGGEA!!!and thats where my vote went-specifically the legendary "Bob Marley and the Wailers" -i play bass and me and a friend who plays guitar can play just about every walier jam there is which is a huge song list-ive met aston "family man" barrett on three seperate occasions backstage at some wailer shows and burned with him and drummie zeb and all of em-but i have grown to love many bands-israel vibration, steel pulse, peter tosh, gregory issacs, jacob miller, inner circle, dennis brown, gladiators and others-JAH LIVE

BUt I think Rock in general is the best
Live music = good ! ! !
metal/rock/pop rock/ punk / pop punk / ska / indie...
Whatever you want to call it. I only like a bit of hip hop. Pop music is boring and the majority cant sing and dont sing it all live.
Ive never seen other shows with other type of music that beats > Live rock music <

Gah!!! What a bad list to choose from...where's classical; jazz; folk; bluegrass; blues; (delta and modern); alternative...and last but certainly not least ROCK?
I personally choose other as most of my musical tastes don't fit in any of those categories.
And what is up with punk? I can't believe that the watered down trendy pop music on my radio is being called punk! That is so insulting to the true masters of the genre, Black Flag; The Sex Pistols; The Dead Kennedy's; X; Buzzcocks; The Minutemen; ect ect ect. Blink 182 and Sum 41 wouldn't have lasted five seconds in the west coast punk scene in the late 70's early 80's, they probably would have been beaten up for being trendy posuers. Sheesh really anybody who was playing punk by 1990 was just a hanger on and never understood the idea anyway.
Sorry for the rant....I needed to get that out of my system.
Oh and aren't hip hop and rap essentially the same thing?

I voted country not because I am a country fan. I voted that way because I believe that with out the old roots of country, R&B, and Blues, metal and techno and the rest would not have evolved as they did. I would have voted for all 3;
country, R&B, and Blues if I could have. The choices offered do not even begin to cover the choices available.
