Has anyone reported premonitions of the World Trade Center disaster on 9-11?
The day before the disaster (9-10), I had an unexplained and quite sudden feeling of total exhaustion while at work. I "HAD" to go home. When I got home, I took a nap. During my nap, I had a very vivid dream of people screaming, and a large building erupting in flames and thick black smoke.
I thought nothing of it, until I turned on the television the next morning and saw the World Trade Center in flames. Since then, I have been very unsettled, wishing there were a way to harness what I experienced, to develop it. Any thoughts????? :'(

Unless you or anyone else saw definate signs that it was the World Trade Center, then I would say that it may be alittle too general to confirm whether the dream you had was actually about this tragedy. It is way to easy for it to have been something all together different. There are similar situations like this one, that happen all to frequently all around the world.. No doubt that it must have freaked you out.
Sometimes, a movie or a feeling, or a situation in your personal life can trigger extreme dreams. Dreams that seem real enough to touch, or even leave you waking up sweating, angry, or/and crying.

Good point Reese.
Another thing to consider as well is the number of people who might have actually had similar premonitions. You have to imagine that with all the supposed REAL psychics around that one of them would have seen this coming? Maybe... Maybe not. Otherwise they would have warned someone ? None the less I'm sure someone out there had one. Chances are they were right and never said anything either.

For certain I believe that someone must have truly had visions of the impending disaster, but I would have to think that what they have are jumbled pictures or feelings of it. I don't think anybody would be so lucky as to know exact details of something that is yet too happen.. (I wish) And, if they did, they were probably hoping that they were wrong.
I don't waste my money on fortune tellers, because if they really had that sort of gift, they wouldn't want my $20, I would like to think they would shoot for something bigger, lottery, horse tracks...

I'm going to run a survey in town to see if anyone had any similar signs of discomfort/exhaustion/weird dreams. I know that I called in sick that day, the first time in a while, with a general feeling of unease. Again, very vague...
Does anyone think that maybe a disaster of this impact may give some form of subconcious warning?

I put forward the suggestion that when an such a disaster occurs the release of human emotions (ie. terror, fear etc.) sends ripples through time. In a similar way to a pebble dropped in a pond sends ripples through the water. These ripples are then picked up by people tuned in to the wavelength of the ripple.

I've heard the occasional report about the Titanic and stuff, but what about other huge disasters? The bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Pearl Harbor? Anybody know anything about psychic phenomena and these events?
Now I need to find what the earliest pedications of the WTC disaster were. Can this phenomena only pervade a few days into the past (looking into the future?) I'm curious if anyone has had any fears about massive disasters in the future... like that link that Mr. X gave...
What about animals? Isn't there an animal that shows pre-emptive signs of disaster?

this is not unfamiliar to me,christy.i once had a dream about some kind of ghost when i was 5 and again when i was 12,then i looked at artbell.com and it was there.so my theory is,the spirits of people leave their bodies in their sleep and go look into the future.and how would you know, when you wake up,your spirit is right there with you.that's also probably where deshavou comes from.what do you think?

I for one am not a big believer in the accuracy or credibility of psychics who make predictions, but there is an amazing article in the April edition of the Fortean Times magazine that tells about the documented predition of a 68 year old former engineer from London. He's called the 'Seer of Sudbury Hall' and goes by the name David Mandell. This person had a vivid dream concerning the collapse of the World Trade Centers (no planes were involved in his dream, though). He drew a picture of his vision, and then had someone take his picture holding the drawing in front of a bank clock with the time and date clearly visible. The date on the clock; Sept. 11, 1996! :s01 Now that's spooky, even given the vagueness of the drawing. Has anyone from accross the big pond have any further information to shed on this person and/or the reliability of the report?

'fraid not, first i've heard of it. the only premonition about WTC that i know about was one i posted before - i think Daz my have deleted that one so i'll summerise:
early in 2001 a woman appear on a UK TV program ("Kilroy" - i think it may of even been live) and told the audience about a recurring dream she had about aircraft hitting the WTC. I can post the URL again if anyone is interested.

This is faintly off topic, but also on topic at the same time (With that paradox founded, we may now kiss reality good bye.)
I had a ery realistic dream last night tha I was watching the news, and our president was in a motorcade with white SUVs and was driving through some cluster of buildings amongst a lot of people. (I know that if this was bloom county we would be dissecting the SUVs in the dream, but let's let it slide...) There were anchormen speaking, and then all of a sudden there was an large explosion from the side of the crowd, (it may have been a car of building, I don't know) and then the motorcade backed up and got out of the situation quickly. There were quite a few deaths amongst the general cheering populace, and the indications came that the detonation was from a "dirty bomb".
Now, I had this dream last night. Most likely it will fall under the category of whimsical fantasy that the subconcious creates out of all of the ooze that drips down there. Most likely there is nothing to it at all, as I hope. But I feel a need to post it, just in case, to back myself up from going crazy if something like this did happen...
... has anyone else had dreams of this flavour, or of similar flavours?

It can be possible that you could either get arrested or persecueted for predicting such horrific events like that?
At least that is what I heard.

I bet you wouldean, think about it. If you were to be part of a very small minority with some degree of psychic potential, you would be saying things that the rest of the world would have reason to believe. If I ran to the police and KNEW that an airplane was going to crash, they wouldn't believe me. They are not part of the minority, hence they have no chance to understand it the same way. They would percieve it, if I was right, as me having caused it or having something to do with it. Its basically just shooting the messager.

You do have a point T.B. as have been proved b4 that people that have predicted disasters have waited until after the event to say that have seen this... not because they wish to 'get on the bandwagon so to speak' but they do fear for their own safety

nostradamus had a passage translated that mentioned a vague description of the wtc disaster, it is vague and you have to use your wits.i'll see if can find it.i found it on here previously, but that was before i found this site.I dont know if any nostradamus quote is true.

cerberus,
Vague is a very good description of Nostradamus. His "predictions" are so vague his words can be twisted and manipulated to mean just about anything.

yes homer you have a very good point. here is the actual writing by nostradamus , translated from old french to english... 'The sky will burn at 45 degrees latitude, Fire approches the great new city.. Immediately, a huge scattered flame leaps up, when they want to have verification from the Normans.' Firstly, i'm no nostradamus expert, but New York is 40 degrees, 42 minutes, 51 seconds north.Nearly 45?! New York is hardly new, but it is called 'New' York. Of course the flames, are correct, but i can't explain the norman verification.

once i had a premonition dream. i dreamt that i was in a group of priests when a bomb went off. it was the loudest dream i have ever had, kind of like a loud thunderbolt in my head as i jolted awake screaming. the dream was so vivid that i immediately awoke and was too shaken to go back to sleep again.
that morning on the news i saw a bomb in korea had killed a group of priests. it was either a strange coincidence or i was there in my dream.

i know this is unbeilevable but during the wtc incident i used to work until 1 in the morn i live about and hr and a half from that site. Well i went to bed at 5 in the morning when i had a very messed up dream where i thought i was in the inside of a boat. the reason is because the room was rocking back and forth violently, it was an office people were in office clothes desks were thrown to one side of the room pinning people down and i saw this through my eyes... well i woke up the phone rang i picked it up i was staying with my friends family during this time. My friends mother called from work and sounded paniced i asked what was wrong she said turn on the tv i turned it on and saw plains inside of the twin towers i was freaked out told her about the dream but she got angry with me. i feel i saw through a victims eyes on an upper floor and thats why it was rocking the weak support.

i dont see why cops are so dumb they try to arrest people with visions because they "caused it"...if they ran to the cops wouldnt they be trying to stop it?
