The Loch Ness is a big fake. I can't believe that some people actually believe in it! Firstly, scientists with high-fi equipment can't even detect the slightest thing about it and how could something so colossal live in a Loch! There surely wouldn't be enough food and room. Also, the sightings started back in the 1600's! How can something live that long?
Mad Manfred
Go out and actually do some research on the subject before you try to argue it.

Watching the first 60 seconds of a 45 minute documentary or reading the third paragraph of a book doesn't count.

PS. this couldn't have been posted in the other 629 Nessie threads on these boards?
Dezmond
Off course it can be fake.

But it might be real, some unexplainable things have been seen there.
They think it might be some sort of fish who travels througt the lake.
The steur if I am right??
But with high tech radar they do have detected some unexplainable things. I saw this on a discovery channel program about a man who hunted down the lake with a lot of boats.
They saw some big creatures(or whatever you might call it) passing through the lake....
Apocalyptic Cryptid
there is a chance it could be fake but come on... have a little beleif in stuff that normally would be outragous.... cryptozoology... Bigfoot ahool altamahaha nessie caddy mokele-mebembe yeti.... yah sure they all could be fake....but there is still a possibility they are real....(Real until proven fake) original.gif believe beleive!!
Hirotho
I'm not sure about bigfoot and all that but I'm completely sceptic about The Loch Ness. And I haven't read anything, Manfred.

It could be a species of aquatic mammal and the ones some people see are different from others wacko.gif Basically, there could be group of nessies dontgetit.gif but your right, after all they've done to try and find it I think they would no.gif

Well then, try reading some books on it before you claim false.

It has been proven there is no Loch Ness monster. There would have to be an entire colony and no trace of any large creature has ever been found. It all amounts to little more than wishful thinking.

These are all obvious points that the author of this particular thread conveniently overlooked.

I dont think it is a dinosaur , maybe a sturgeon or some type of big eel.
Reflection the Hedgehog
Okay, so there is this big underwater cave that we haven' found yet. The cave has a small air pocket leading from the Loch to the ocean, so the creature gets in and out through there. It appears in the Loch only when there is food plentiful. The colonies reproduce, and live near the bottem of the ocean, with all the other things we don't know about.
It can hold it's breath for a while, so that it can get to the surface fast enough to take a breath.
And I actually think it is either

A) A relative of the Plesiosaur or
cool.gif A giant Sea Turtle

give me real proof it doesnt exist! I have been studying the Monster scince I was 9 years old!

<<Galor>> So.. You don't believe in the Loch Ness, or is this unforseen sarcasm. God I hope not, this Baby Alien would have prematurely experienced its first wrinkle. If you say the Loch Ness is a big fake, one way of making sure you're true to your word is betting your house, your car oh and why not a million dollars on top of that. If you can't afford any of that, then go spend the night at one of the notorious sites where a Loch Ness has been spotted. (Fingers crossed the beast isn't carnivorous!)
Reflection the Hedgehog
Yes you.

Even if you prove there's no Nessie, the local businesses and the tourism industry might not be too pleased. Lots of people go there to try and get a glimse of Nessie, and proving that it doesn't exist will ruin that.

I have to agree with you"A Huge Fake!". One of the first photos ever taken, the man addmitted to faking on his death bed. Do a little research, you'll find it!
ALNA70
Opinions are opinions. Everyone has one. I, nor anyone else, has a right to tell someone what they feel is wrong. I just hope, that when some makes a statement, it's one based on the facts they have uncovered.
I, for one, think there is something undiscovered in Loch Ness. What is it? I have no idea. I base my assumptions on the articles and books I've read and the photos I've seen.
I'll be the first person to admit that a photo or sighting is fake when I've done a little research on it, but I still feel there is something in the Loch that we haven't found yet.

I am new to this and may be out of line here but you have no idea what the hell you are talking about, wether you believe in a breeding colony of some yet to be discovered species or not, you are basing your beliefs on something you have not researched.

Science has many times made sonar contact with large moving objects then you question how something so callosal live in a loch?? Loch ness can hold the world population over 5 times over within its walls and not a single head would be above the surface of the water. You live in the UK take a trip North and check out this small body of water???

I agree. You should check it out. I remember beggin my dad to take me, but so far I haven't been. My dad goes every year to play golf, and he bought me a book about Nessie. That kinda set off the whole cryptid thing for me.

"The Loch Ness is a big fake"? As in, the actual Loch itself, is fake and doesn't exist? That's a rather bold statement. But you're right, let's not rule out the possibility that this gigantic body of water that takes up a huge stretch of Northern Scotland, doesn't exist. hmm.gif

I believe in Nessie!!!

Didn't they recently discover these underwater caves/tunnels in the loch?

OK guys, I just don't see how something so colossal can live in this lake, and how it can be alive since 1600. If it existed and it reproduced it would of surely died out because of the inadequate supply of food.

I don't care what anyone says. I'm just completely ignorant to the loch ness.

AHAHAHAHAH J/K LOL!!!

Of course I'm not completely skeptikk about the loch ness. It just seems unfathomable to me that it can exist original.gif

And, even though I live in London, and Scotlands just a 4 hour car drive away wink2.gif if I asked my Dad he'd never let me go because he's too busy original.gif
Hirotho
Heres a snapshot I took from 'the live nessie webcam'. Anyone see anything?
Gabriel
ok actually the first sighting was by ST columbua in 656 ad.
and if there was something its dead now.
Shivel
I dont see a thing in those photos.

And I see what your trying to prove with those snap shots Galor..but it doesnt disprove anything at all..it just proves that "Nessie" doesnt ascend from the water very often, if it is real that is. Theres really no way to disprove it exists.. no.gif

your spelling is that of a child you are pretending to be. Loch ness from London is also far more than 4 hours drive.. this is probably your mistake you set off from london and think everything is 4 hours away and when you get to Lake Windermere you in your southern attitude think you are in Scotland??? Like I said I an new to this but I know you are wasting the time of those that actually take this serious, now go and have a slice of toast and a cup hot chocolate and go to bed.

Firstly, I am a child, I'm 12 tomorrow. Yippee!!!

I've seen a documentary about Loch Ness. They took out boats in a big line across the Loch, and sent sensors down to detect the air sacs in Nessies lungs. They didn't find anything, apart from a baloon a member of the crew had dropped down with a weight attached for fun. But what if we are making a mistake when we say Nessie is an air-breather? Maybe she/he simply is a new species of fish thingies, that don't need to breath! original.gif
Walken
Thank you.

As always, I'm happy to smite those who deserve it.

Welcome to the forum btw way Jess.

And if you're still looking for pics of unexplained creatures...

Glad to be of help.

Let me try to fit myself in in this thread.

The Loch Ness is not a big fake. And I'm not an extreme believer but we can't just assume and conclude that the Loch Ness is a big fake or else people still wouldn't be doing research on it everyday and have stations based on Loch Ness and the Loch Ness Monster.

Scientists with high-fi equipment can't detect the slightest thing due to the conditions of Loch Ness. Loch Ness like I said before is extremely deep, cold, and has very murky waters making it hard for anything to be seen in its waters. Their surely wont be enough food? How do we know! For all we know, it could live off algae or bacteria or wastes which floods the lake! Room!? That Loch is huge!!! Even for such a colossal and ancient huge animal/dinosaur.

So now tell me, is Loch Ness small now?
The sightings started way back, your right - but it could keep on living a healthy and long life and could keep reproducing, having more and more offspring...

Just remember - theirs always a possibility and you can't conclude that is fake until it has been scientifically proven, which it hasn't. Its like prove the accussed is guilty first and then conclude.
