Whoa, let's not go overboard and say Pantera...that's as close to blasphemy as you can. But let's see, worst bands...any of this whole "emo" scene where every singer has the same annoying voice, same annoying lyrics, all the guitarists play the same annoying riffs, and everyone in general wears the same annoying clothes. Off the top of my head, in that scene...bands like Thursday, Story of the Year, Brand New, Atreyu, blah blah blah. Then you get to that "pop punk" crap like Simple Plan and Good Charlotte, which must be stopped immediately. And also what people consider "real metal" now, like Shadows Fall and Hatebreed and other bands where you can't understand what they generously refer to as "vocals."

Well I think it's pretty easy to agree that most of what passes for "music" nowadays tends to suck...real bad. Real, REAL bad. I think you're really able to tell when music truly sucks when you can tell who's a fan of that music just by looking at their stupid long hair or tootight shirts and pants or their stupid dreadlocks and spiky bracelets. The following bands, however, do not suck. Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Iced Earth, Nevermore, Anthrax, Rammstein, old Metallica...and oh so many others.

Whoa, homey...Phil Anselmo(from Pantera) is an awesome singer. Sure he throws in some growls and all that now and then, but listen to "Cemetery Gates," "Hollow"...actually, pretty much any Pantera song and just listen to him. He used to be some sort of glam metal singer so he can hit notes that are crazy high and long...he's one of my favorite metal singers, actually.

Here's a band I just learned very recently that I can't stand AT ALL...

GWAR.

I hate them SO much, everything about them bothers the hell out of me. They base their whole image on a retarded premise and then have the balls to make "music" with lyrics like "Your womb is a sewer! Your womb is manure! But still, I'm worse!"

Good God...I feel so bad for people who can like stuff like that.

the first one that came to my mind was clay aiken. and then i thought of story of the year, the used, atreyu, and many other bands that are jumping the "emo/screamo" bandwagon. i also thought of alter bridge, which is creed part two.

my most hatd bands would have to be.....

Good charlotte, new found glory, sum 41, green day, nickelback (and all the other 50 zillion bands like them), converge, alexis on fire, atreyu, deluge, korn, slipknot, mushroomhead, all country, and all rap (not really bands).... to name a few

oh, and aliennobasoure, if you don't like pantera's singer, then you HATE everything that i listen to... pantera's singer has a very mild scream at times... 90% of the bands that i like have complete screaming. Check out "the number twelve looks like you".... i bet you'll hate them 298347 times more than you hate pantera.

I hate basically every single Brit band since 1990. Maybe not Oasis, they are ok. But all the crap people sing, its not even music! Rock is dead, there will never be good music ever again! Lets all pop down to HMV and buy all the Sex Pistols and Thin Lizzy CDs.

To all Non-British People: For a laugh, go to a download site and download the first Westlife song you can find, I guarantee you will either die laughing or commit suicide they are so bad!

I may be dating myself a bit but there was an all girl band in the mid to late 70's called "The Runaways". They truly sucked, but they did in the long term produce Joan Jett and Lita Ford. So even out of something awful came some good.

Searching to forums, I found this topic and it brings up an arguement I remember. I know a guy that insists that "Hatebreed" is "real metal" and he keeps going on about it being better than "Slipknot" (whom I don't listen to anymore) which he keeps calling "Goth rock" Now whether you may consider it that or not isn't the point, atleast it's understandable unlike this "Hatebreed" which is just screaming. Any opinions on this? And I couldn't listen my most hated bands cause there are just so many, it would be easier just to list the ones I like, which I'm sure it's the same with everyone else.

Pretty much any modern day metal band, though they're are a few exceptions. I think metal has become in the 21st century an excuse for elistism, narrow-mindedness and stereotyping and quite frankly it makes me want to vomit.

Which is why I stick to the alternative scene. No stereotyping, no elitism, no beating up kids just cause they dress in a way you don't like...
