I thought i'd post this because, well as a tarot reader most people see it as a way of fortune telling. Personally i see it as guidance.

Anyway is it possible to see into the future, after all i'm sure you've all heard of Nostradamus.

If you see into the future then isn't it possible to change the future therefore making your prediction wrong?

I am hardly wise, but-
I think that the future that some people can see into is one of the possible futures ahead if the actions they take in their lives don't change...
Although it is a wierd thing to say, I think everyone will eventually end up exactly what is destined for them to be...just maybe take different routes to the same end...Does that make any sense?

yes it does. I think that what we see is what is likely to happen since that person think a certain way and acts a certain way. Like HolyDevil said, the future is full of possibilities and we only see wich one is the most probable given the road they are presently on. Now since we show them what might happen, they might decided to change a few thing, and the realm of possibility changes and a new future is unfold. So yes making our reading wrong

I believe that what is important is helping them on their road to learn and to grow and not strive for our reading to always be right. Those who lead people to believe that there reading is excatly what will happen and that there is no other way around, block the freedom of these people to learn from it. In turn it makes them look like very good readers, but at the same time what would be the point to do a reading.

I always say it to the people I read, that it is for self contemplation and if they do not like what I say, that they can think what could possibly bring them there and they can change it.

I think the reason why many people see it as fortune telling is because some may think that future is written in stone. Wich I dont personnaly think it is, but for them no matter how much they wish it to happen or not. Since they think it is written in stone, it will happen. As much as they could try to run away from a bad reading, they will unconsciously make it happen.


This is the reason why I stopped reading for other people. I dont think we should know the future like this, it is a healing and a guidance tool. I was tired of seeing people looking at me as if I had the answers to their question, and that what I was saying what truth written in stones. I wanted to help people think and grow out of bad habits, not doomed them on the same road they where already undertaking.


I think what makes a good reader is not if he is right or wrong, but is the intent behind the reading. I was told many times that my readings where right, and it never brought me any comfort. In my mind they had missed the point. But I understand why they did as they did, because of all these misconception about fortune telling.

Stick to guidance. If you try to put telling the future into it, then you got a little issue of the better part of 150,000 'professional' fortune-tellers in America alone missing 9/11. To say nothing of the Tsunami. One would think tradgedies like those would have triggered something along the metaphysical plane.

i don't believe in seeing the future ....
i believe that God may give some people sometimes the ability to see future events for some reasons ....
but , to paractise it and to be able to see future when ever u like , that couldn't be .....
i mean , the one who have this ability won't stand there trying to impress us , he would be ruling the world , he would know which card will win , when the stock traffic will change , when the gold price will go up ... he would rule the world ....

Pretty much everthing under the sun, from cards to tea dregs to bird entrails to bones, have been used to tell the future. Kinda makes you wonder if it isn't just an innate human desire, doesn't it?

Lets see. You can read the future through all sorts, not just the sterotypical crystal ball.

The list is almost endless...including the book i've got on the subject

I forced the future to go on my side...but probably not or i don't know.
7 years ago we're iin trouble of paying tax that we have to pay on a week time.
I don't know how to pay it and our credit card are beyond the limit.
My wife dreamed then i converted her dream into numbers and put it on lotto.
I hit 5 numbers and miss one to become a million dollar.
We won 2,500 dollars instead, just exactly to pay the tax.

The future is set in the sense that whatever we do, it was meant to be that way and just that way.. its impossible to see into the future because noone knows what exactly they are going to do until they do it..we can guess as to what may happen by judging what has already happened and by a number of other things..but thats not exactly seeing into the future.

You maybe right on this.
That's not exactly seeing means that there is an opposite of it.
So could you please inform us "What is exactly seeing in the future" ?

Hey. I am clairvoyant, and I always see bad stuff that happens to my friends e.g. rape, car crashes, etc. One of the things I saw was one of my friends getting raped, then another guy pushing him off of her. We talked on teh phone about this, and we believe that maybe it was me pushing the guy off of her, and that the reason the guy didn't start or finish up is because I was there to push hiim off of her, and that it was me. So maybe, what we see is what will happen, even if we do it or not. It is predetermined. If we see, then it will have to come true. It's kinda like fate. It will happen, and maybe it will happen because we saw it. If not, well, who knows what will happen?

Seeing future events before they take place. Dreams, cards ect.. Astrology and numerology can also be right on the money. I also read the tarot cards and have been for over ten years, I also agree that I find them awsome guidance in times of need. Most of these things are just a tool for our mind to lock on too. Iv seen good stuff, and Iv seen bad stuff. Most of the not to great messages come in the form of dreams.

But when we get a glimpse into the future, we are usually only seeing one possible outcome. There are many forks in our life roads, and we see one. Think of they guy that has a flight going out, and somehow gets stuck in traffic or at the last minute decides to change his plans.. The plane goes down and all die.. It was on his path to be on that plane and die, yet he changed his path at a moments notice..

So heres the kicker, the future is not set in stone. Thats that. We make our own realities.
