I did a search and sifted through quite a bit of threads but I didn't see anything that would help me.

My daughter's birthday is this month and she wants a telescope. I have no idea where to even begin. I want to buy her a nice one - maybe something like a starter / beginner - not too expensive - if there is such a thing?? no clue...

Any suggestions on how to find this information? or if anyone has any personal experience - that would be nifty too!

I do too, seeking! My brother and I were talking yesterday about how neat it is that she has so many different interests. She LOVES chess and is in chess club, she reads all kinds of books, she loves the sky / space / stars, and she also wants a karaoke machine, for her birthday, as well

She has more of a life than me! lol
