By a strange coincidence, it was discovered that the new $20 bills can be folded a certain way to show images resembling the attacks on the Pentagon AND the World Trade Center buildings. People are now referring to this phenomenon as "terrorigami."

Here's how to do it:

Take one of the new $20 bills, and fold it longways in half [attachmentid=11465]
so you can see the top half of the back of the bill.




Next, fold the right side back and up. Try to make the tip of the fold as close to the center of the bill as possible.[attachmentid=11466]

Fold the left side back and up, the same way you did the right side.[attachmentid=11467]Look! There's the Pentagon![attachmentid=11468]

Now, flip the bill over and look on the other side[attachmentid=11469]

I think the similarities are eerie, but simply coincidence. Its only shrubbery, and a depiction of known architecture. There is no way that the existing architecture, designed decades or centuries ago would have anything to do with what happened on 9/11

I'm sure it does work. Even though they wasted their time trying to find this I doubt they would waste their time editing photos. Unless of course they're the US Government.

I doubt this is anything other than a strange pattern. Even if the US Government planned the attacks I doubt they decided to make a dollar bill that kind of looks like it when you fold it a certain way just to wind a few people up.


It's not that an actual Panda is going to attack America. It's that a terrorist group called the Pandas will attack America.

I think it would be more worthwhile using the time lost for something as stupid as this and putting it into keeping America safe from another one of these attacks.

Well if we weren't all so distracted by symbolism that could just be coincidental and instead learn what is really going on and make a real attempt to change it then maybe we'll get somewhere. When I first did the $20 bill trick it indeed freaked me out. It is bizzare. Coincidence or not, still quite odd. Also on the back of the $20 if folded correctley you can spell out usama.

You can take a huge piece of extra thin paper, and probably get 8 or 9 folds. Even more, depending on exactly how big and thin.

That's without useing weights and over tools and stuff, just paper, btw. If you use sticky tape and stuff you could probably reach 9.

It does depend on the thickness of the paper and the size. Ever try tissue paper?

I just tried it with some toilet paper that I sperated into 2 pieces making each piece half the amount thinner (originally, the 2 pieces were together forming one piece). I managed 8 folds. If I took a longer piece, it would have been more.

I think what we're all forgrtting here is that a dollar bill is nothing like tissue paper. It would be impossible to fold it 42 times.

From this table, you can see how fast the number of layers increases. A paper with 128 layers is almost impossible to fold. However, it can be done by some very strong people. But when the number of layers reaches 256, then it becomes beyond anyone's physical abilities to fold the paper. Nobody has been yet known to fold a piece of paper more than 8 times.
