autopsies
Hello again, been a while no? Anyways, Autopsies is back and curious...

Well, class demands I get information of a career I wish to pursue in the future blah blah blah...

I'm in dire need of the following:

The growth rate of Parapsychology in the US.
The amount of money that a Parapsychologist makes in a year.

I've been looking EVERYWHERE for this stuff and I can't find it...My eyes are burning, so much...I'd be forever greatful if one of you guys could find the answers to those...If not, then I'll have to research, dare I say, preschool and kindergarden...

If you get on TV, I bet you make a lot until you get canceled. Other than that, I haven't a clue. (Yes, I'm clueless--but curious!)

We're sorry but there are no jobs that match your search criteria at this time.
You may wish to revise your search in one or more of the following ways:

Well, I'm pretty sure the job has a popular demand. I also looked at other job sites and the title was nowhere to be found.

It's more of a title for a hobby than a title for a job, like a person that collects coins is called a numismatist.

As a career path, parapsychology doesn't exist. Careers exist because people pay you to do things, and there is no privately owned company that is going to waste money on something that has traditionally had a zero to negative return on its investment.

The closest you will come to parapsychology as a career would be as a researcher at a university. You will find, however, that, at best, it will only be a project that you might be able to convince the funding committee to grant you money for (good luck with that). You will not actually be paid to be a parapsychologist; you will be paid to be either an educator or a research assistant (in which case you will also be a student).

Basically, you have three options:

Do it as a hobby and pay for it by yourself from another career.

Do it as research, while working as a professor.

Find someone in the private sector willing to pay you to work as a parapsychologist (note that you will not have any sort of academic credentials to offer in this regard. There is no such degree offered in any of the major educational institutes of the world, nor any offered in any nationally accredited colleges in the USA).

What exactly do you think parapsychologist do, anyway?

I think your best bet is to go into psychology, and you will meet people that have paranormal experiences . A psychologist makes 60,000 a year ? Even more if you get a PHD . hope that helps thumbsup.gif

Hey I have no clue what a parapsychologist makes, but I jsut wanna tell you that even if the cash isn't what you expected, I'll bet that their are plenty of young teens out there that would greatly appreciate it if you helped them (winks). Heh, I wouldn't do it for the cash. I'd do it to help people. I did this little career inventory test and it says that I'd do the best in humanitarian fields... thought I'd do better in biology hmm.gif . Oh well! Got a better idea for you if the parapsychology stuff doesn't work out. Maybe you could be a therapist or somethign for people that can't control their powers or are the two the same thing huh.gif .

Well, c u l8r!!!
