Rose

The snow is falling,
over the treetops the wind is calling
A white blanket covering the ground,
spreading magic all around

Can you hear
like angels soothing your fear
Can you see
the person who is reaching out to me
Can you feel
that everything you touch is real

Under the snow,
there's something that may not show
Soft under your fingers,
a scent that still lingers
Something that will forever be growing
Like a friendship always flowing
Sometimes it will hurt you,
no matter what you do
Through pain
Everlasting rain
Comes something more sweet,
that no one can ever defeat
The beauty of the rose,
is what brings us close

(I'm always green with envy over people who can write in more than one language. I know snatches of half a dozen, but asking for directions to the loo is about my limit in any of them. )

Heh, english is my second language. Swedish is my native. I studied english from first grade though and i love writing...so yah... thanx though!
