Our host seems to have been having some considerable problems with the database this morning, with a number of database outtages resulting in both the forum and news column going down for almost an hour.

Unfortunately when something like that happens there is very little I can do to fix it, since the problem is with the host and not the site. Fortunately though, they seem to have managed to repair the problem, at least for the moment.
