Chickens are falling from the sky over a city suburb.
Twice in the last 6 weeks plucked and probably frozen chooks have plummeted to earth onto the roofs of houses in Fletcher.
On both occasions roof tiles were damaged leading experts to believe the birds fell from a great height.
It was first thought the chook may have fallen from an external luggage locker of a light plane, but following the second bird it seems unlikely.
It now seems that some ground based explanation is more logical.
One theory is that someone is using a giant slingshot to launch the birds into the air.

At least they're hitting houses and not people/moving cars, for now, hopefully they'll be caught soon.

Lol! That prank seems just a little to dangerous dont you think, if the chickens hit someone they could cause a damn lot of pain and injury!

One of the poor home owners came home after a weekend away and had to go find the source of the stench that had spread through the house.
Yuck imagine a chook sitting out all weekend in summer conditions.

There's now another house with broken roof tiles and chicken remains in Fletcher.
The current theory going around is the local supermarket dumps the stale chooks at the tip. Birds then pick them up and drop them over Fletcher on the way back to the wetlands.
