Ok, for those who have seen the movie Alexander...
When Alexander's army enters India they're seen fighting the monkey's who are throwing rocks and sticks at them (normal every day monkey's).
Alexander and his men were astounded by these creatures who they mistook for strange men.
During the scene where they have a few captured we see something I thought was odd...
We have a couple of glances of Neanderthal-like men standing against trees. They're wearing loin-cloths and are holding spears.
The first time I watched the movie I didn't notice...only today after seeing it again...
They stood around 4'11", had long dark hair, a small but prominent brow, large lips and very pale skin in comparison to the Indians.
Is this movie suggesting, or has there been evidence, to support the fact that Neanderthals, or Cro-Magnons, walked with man less than 3,000 years ago?

could just be a joke... maybe the director wanted to have a laugh when he sees the finished movie thinking "hahah, i put those guys there, and no one will ever know!"

Wow, almost a year to the day I posted this thread.
I have the pictures, but the damn things are too big to post here...I've tried re-sizing them, but I guess they're too pixel heavy...any ideas?

Upload them to the web and just give us the link to the image, instead of posting the image on the forum.

Ok, managed to re-size em.
Now, if you watch the rest of the movie, these "primates" really stand out in the scene.
There are three kinds of people; the Greeks in their armor, the Indians who look like Indians and these guys.

their Eyebrows are a little neanderthal like. however its inconslusive.
allthough I would not be suprised if Oliver Stone tried to put a neanderthal conspiracy in his films.

I am just now looking at your pictures (For I have not seen this film) and I thought that you may wish to know. Anyone with the degree of Mythological backround as myself can tell you about the Neurians... there are theories that the Neurians were, in all trhthful aspects, neanderthals, or something closer on such an end of that spectrum. So, yes, there are theories that the Greeks and the Neanderthals did know eachother well. There were even special events in the Olympics fot eh Neurians...So if they were simply Stupid Neanderthals...it must have been as fun for the Greeks as it is for us to watch the Special Olympics.

i dont know about the mythology , but these 4' 11 guys arent representing neanderthal man at all. not sure where anybody suggests any proof that neanderthal's were 'stupid'.
