Phoenix is the successor to the ambitious NASA SETI program that was cancelled by a budget-conscious Congress in 1993. Anyone else heard of Project Phoenix?

Surely if ET's are advanced enough to communicate to other planets, they would not be using primitive radio signals we could pick up.
I haven't heard of it, but all the luck to them, hope they find something.

I think I heard this also. I also seem to remember reading somewhere that they have not given up entirely on the "SETI" project entirely yet.

BurnSide is grasping the point. This is exactly the problem. If we know that, then why are we trying to look for radio signals? I'll tell you why. Because the SETI, NASA programs are all apart of a disinformation plan. In the interest of national security, these organizations are only posing to look for aliens. The founders know that its all a hoax, that they'll never find aliens...

So, why the fuss? Why would the government fund programs with direct purpose? They fund them because they do have a purpose... but its not what we think. They are distractions to keep the public silent. Think about it. People will never make up their minds, so the government makes a head that'll pose to know all the answers. "UFOs and aliens have not been found" so they say. But the reality is that if the public would know about the coming alien invasion, it would result in global caos and riot. "So, lets cover it up" they say. And so they have.. and so far, they've been sucessful.
