I was reading a welcome thread(about an avatar) that I'd replied twice in tonight...then the next thing I know is I get an error message on screen...where did the thread go or am I going mad by thinking I'd replied?

I am not sure what happened but it looks like someone moved the thread to a different part of the forum that folks can't get to...I will check into it...

I saw it was missing. There wasn't really anything wrong with it, was there?

It seems it was deleted not long after I requested that it not be used as a chat room. I'm not sure by whom, but after a little editing I've gone ahead and re-opened it. There really isn't anything wrong with the thread, just so certain individuals understand that the thread isn't intended to hold conversations. We don't want to give shannon the wrong impression about us, now do we?
