Is this what Jesus of Nazareth looked like as a boy?Forensic experts in Italy have come up with this computer-generated sketch of a fair-skinned young Jesus with wavy hair and dark eyes, based on historical data and images from the controversial Shroud of Turin. The image was created with the same technology used by police to age the faces of long-time missing people or wanted criminals. Using the reverse of ageing technology, the police experts gauged how the man wrapped in the shroud might have looked at the age of 12. Facial proportions between the nose and eyebrow, and the shape of the jaw are identical to those on the shroud, a piece of linen some believe is the actual burial cloth of Jesus about 2000 years ago. "While some features, such as the colour of the eyes and the hair's length, cut and colour, are arbitrary, others come directly from the face impressed on the shroud," the forensic experts said in a statement. "We made a rigorous effort based on the Shroud of Turin.
But it's clear that the data at our disposal were limited. Let's say we have made an excellent hypothesis." Computer enhancement has revealed the imprint of a face of a suffering man on the Turin cloth. The Italian team took that faint image and used computer modelling to develop a picture, making assumptions about the features at a younger age. The sketch was revealed on a documentary about Jesus shown on Italian television.

Other than its said to be image of Jesus on shroud what leads everyone to believe this is the actual cloth Jesus was wrapped in? Was there some writing near it or what?

haha, who knows... that might've been how he looked... but does it really matter? The only reason why you'd need to know what he looked like is if you wanted to go back and correct all the old paintings of Jesus.... or wanted to paint one yourself.

lol. Im not so in-tune with the bible stuff, as you can tell. Well, he certainly wasn't as pale as the picture suggests. It was very hot over there. He would have a nice tan...

What's with people trying to make Jesus white, He was from the middle east the jews were not exiled until 70 CE so they all were either Arab or African because Ethiopia occupied most of North Africa and the Middle east until Roman rule.
I wish I could quote the bible but somewhere in it said Jesus was not a man who brought attention to him self by his appearance so if he was white then it would contradict the bible once again.

Wasn't the shroud found to be fake?

no, they used a section of the shroud that was damaged in a church fire in the middle ages to carbon date it, which placed it in time in the middle ages. They recently discovered their error and correctly dated it to the time of Christ, roughly 2000 years ago. It may or may not be the shroud that Jesus was buried in, but at least now they know that it came from the same time period.

Unless Jesus was exceptional in appearance, he was, based of the archeological finds of other graves from that time and area, black or Brown Haired, brown eyed, not over 5' 4" tall and with dark complexion almost to the point of black. Children wore very little in the way of clothing and the sun baked their already swarthy complexion into a near black protection from the sun. Look at a piece of cloth some time and think about weaving that one thread at a time and you will understand why clothes were not wasted on growing kids. His Dad was a carpenter and by age 4 he was out in the sun helping both of his parents. Jews and other dark complexioned peoples are not actually dark because they were born that way like blacks, it is the sun that does it, and they got a lot of it back then. Also the pale sissy looking character you see on most crucifixes would have been hard put making a living as a carpenter at the time. It was brutal physical labor and there were no power tools, it was all muscle and calluses.
