Thanks for saying so!

Sam looks like quite a ham. Except in that second pic where he looks like he might rip my face off. Cool dog!

Here is a pic of my puppy who is 16 weeks old

He is called Celt and we rescued him from the Cat and Dog home along the road from us.

When we first went too see him he was adorable and small, also they put down the wrong sex, so he was a she which was confusing, and how the hell did the vet make that mistake?

Anyway, after shadowhunter getting slobbered all-over, we agreed on her/him and signed all the forms. We had to come back a week that day and pick her/him up.

So after a very hyper week of shadow paying extreme amounts of money to pamper the brute we phoned the vets and got the insurance etc organised and then phoned the cat/dog home.

Next day we went down around 1pm and headed into the reception area, there we were told the mistake and the puppy was a dog not a b****, we didnt care and when he got carried through it was like puppy love (pardon the pun!!)

He got chipped after the details organised and then on with the cute mexican-like collar and the RSPCA guy played with him while the payment was taken care off. Since he was only about 5 weeks old he couldnt be castrated yet (which we had to agree too), so when he hits six months he is getting the snippy treatment!! **Pained look!!!**

So, a manic drive home (literly 10 mins) we got him in and he decideds to crap in the corner, nice little critter he was. So after a little gagging, Shadow cleans up and we take him for a wee walk.

Thats over 12 weeks ago, and he has bitten, scratched, played and tried too eat fully grown Alscations (sp!!), but hes a joyful wee soul and we love him too bits. Though he can be a royal pain in the f**king arse and i really want to give him the rusty spoon treatment.

Anyway, puppy power!!!

If you are just starting herpoculturing, start with anoles or geckos...A bearded dragon or Iguana will be to hard for a novice. I have a Fijian Iguana and he's a great pet for experts, not novices.

I dont like anoles they look dumb lol but a bearded dragon is so cool original.gif I will have help from an expert though, my dad had a couple iguanas throughout his life

This is why people get dangerous snakes and lizrads, then dump and abandon them later when they cannot take care of them. Believe me, caring for an iguana is VERY Hard, you will need a giant enclosure...I keep my Iguana in a small greenhouse. They require a very strict diet also.

Hopefully, your dad knows what he is doing.
KB8
I dont think I will get an iguana hmm.gif they are too big. But I am really considering a bearded dragon im reading books to know how to take care of one.
frogfish
Then what? A bearded dragon doesn't need hardly the space of an iguana, but they are just as hard to care for...

They need a specialized diet and environment.
KB8
For 1 bearded dragon, would a 5'x3' & 2' tall tank be big enough?
frogfish

Believe, for starting out with anoles, books are good. But they will not help for advanced lizards like bearded dragons. Books aren't enough. You need Experience.

Allways start small, then go big...I'm also an aquarium hobbyist...I first started out with freshwater fish 7 years ago, now I have a 70 gallon thriving Marine Aquarium and a smaller 40 gallon tank for pipefish and seahorses (the hardest saltwater fish to care for).

I would make it a little wider, but it should work..
KB8
^^thanks for the help man Yeah I think I will start small original.gif I just sugested iguana at first because they look cool lol. I just like the looks of all these reptiles grin2.gif
frogfish
Anoles, geckos, skinks, and whiptails are all fine starters...Good thing is you can have more than one....If I put in another chameleon with My male Panther, he'll tear him up...Unless it was a female.
