I voted IE a while back because I didn't know any better... I use Firefox now and so far, I haven't had a problem with it, while my IE was constantly crashing and causing me major headaches...
Hurray for Firefox!

FF for me, my IE always crashes, and sometimes it keeps just opening up blank windows.... Seriously like I have to shut off the power source to my computer.

I use both Firefox and IE, I like em both. I however voted for Firefox, but my all time favourite browser is the good old Netscape 4.79 the last of the old version, after that version they began scr*wing with it and it lost its appeal with me.

Firefox
Pages load faster for me with FF then IE or Netscape.
I use my browser for Browsing (!) and the few online browser based games i play. I;ve been using the mozilla stuff for 3 years, and i have NEVER EVER EVER had any sort of problem with it whatsoever. None of the crashes or freezes you get with IE or the super ultra incredibly SLOW pages loads that you have with IE. I have DSL and it's like sooner-than-instant browsing with FireFox.
If you;re a normal human being who's life doesn't revolve around the internet, Firefox all the way.

either firefox ( after you go through and find all the good plugins for it )
or slimbrowser ( uber version of IE with loads of extra security and features . Also has the tabbed browsing feature of firefox )

Opera is great, but I found that when you right click and get the drop menu, the options didn't work as I wanted them to; like there were 1 or 2 glitches with the Copy and Cut options.

IE is like Windows OS and Mozilla is like Mac OS. Most hijacks/spyware/adware is designed for IE and there's alot less for Mozilla. Most viruses/spyware is designed for Windows OS than Mac OS. Mozilla is safer but if you know how to prevent hijacks/spyware/adware you'll be fine with IE.

I recently started using Firefox instead of IE, and I like it better, but I occasionally do return to IE. Firefox does have a tendency to load pages slower, especially pictures, but I absolutely LOVE the dictionary function of Firefox, its so useful since I look up tons of words. For anyone who doesn't know the trick, you type "dict WORD" into the Firefox address bar, brings you right to dictionary.com.

The results of this poll are interesting - only 39% have voted for IE, even though the actual percentage of users using it is closer to 90%.
It suggests that people who use IE aren't as likely to vote in this poll, whereas users of other browsers, such as Firefox, are more likely to vote because they are using an alternative browser and want to make that fact known.
Either that, or most of the people who have voted for Firefox here are still actually using IE.
Interesting....I seen figures somewhere that showed about 84% IE, and the rest all the others with Firefox having about 7%, well that's over the whole internet...
I use Firefox, I have the latest 1.5 version, it's rediculasly faster than IE
If you have Firefox, this list is for you:
Must Have Extensions:
Fasterfox
AdBlock <----allows you to rt click a google add from anywhere and block that one url from your site.
Foxytunes
Colorzilla
ForecastFox
Flashgot
and
DownThemall! <---allows you to download all images from any page anywhere at once.
Ohhh, and btw, whoever is in charge of the CSS and Java on this page should know that I am reading about 572 errors in the post reply code page.
Would IE ever tell you that? nope, they sure don't.......
I guarentee to any one here that if you download firefox and install those extensions I listed above and use it for 1 week. You will never go back to IE again.
How can you? Tabs alone is the balls, not counting all the extensions and it's a thousand times more user friendly.....
Skins still need devoloping, but IE is no gem to look at either.....
I think the poll is accurate as far as here.
I also think that Firefox users will see a poll like this and make it a point to vote and tell everyone about it, because IT IS BETTER!
Fasterfox allows you to increase the pipeling parameters and thus increasing the amount of times you hit a page when you call it up. Making a already fast Broaband connection even faster....If you are on dialup, then I don't see anything that will help you. Get Broadband and then you be the judge. On a cable connection the difference in speed is very clear.
Firefox is faster by a mile.

I'm definitely a Netscape Navigator fan

... I'm on v7.2 at present, no plugins to make it better, email reader/composer, basic web-page composer, UL & DL manager, all integrated in one package.

I tried Firefox for a few months, but I didn't like the 'feel' of it, despite the variations of skins available
In a perverse sort of way, I'm glad that IE is around, the hackers and misc. nastyware bozos tend to leave Netscape and other Mozilla stuff alone
Still, different strokes for different folks

Opera without a doubt for me

It's got tons of new features that MS are now copying (again)
plus it's way faster

I was a dedicated IE user, before discovering FF then I could never go back to IE. But FF just keeps giving me time out errors, or a stupid popup comes up asking me to debug or whatever, so that annoys me to pieces. I found Opera very annoying, in that it froze constantly, so now I use SlimBrowser. It acts much like Firefox, Opera and IE put together, but mostly uses IE functions. The only thing annoying is it doesn't remember my password on most sites I visit! So I switch between SlimBrowser and Firefox and use FF to browse certain sites.

Before I start, let me say that I use Verizon FiOS as my "connector" to the internet. (brain fart, can't think of the proper term for it) Quite a bit faster than DSL, and more security, too.
Anyway, due to some trouble I had in the past with IE and various Trojans being snuck onto my computer, Firefox was downloaded and helped IMMENSELY. I don't (usually) have to worry about pop-ups, and the speed is much better.
That little thing where you can customize the animal that it shows (Mozilla Waterbuffalo, Mozilla Speedostrich) is cool for those of you out there who, like me, are easily amused.

How so?
Whenever you load Mozilla Firefox, you can customize it so that a different animal (i.e. Mozilla Waterpenguin, Mozilla Lightninggoat) comes up on the top of the screen instead of the usual "Mozilla Firefox".

Oh, you run Firefox?
Let me search around a bit and find out how to activate that feature.
I'd think it would be in 'Internet Options', but I might be wrong.
EDIT- after many searches and plenty of effort, I found it.
it's called "Firesomething 1.7.0", and you can download it at the Mozilla website.

Let's say that I agree with all advantages of FF over IE.
But I use AvantBrowser which with my web browsing and all security is more than adequate. I got used to AB, it's not so full of holes as IE, although IE based.

1. IE is boring, and I always seem to get spyware while using it.
2. IE doesn't have the features I like, but FF does.
3. I love the setup of firefox. The skins, the bookmark links right below the address bar, built in search engines in which you can select which search engine to use, etc..
Firefox all the way.
