I don't watch the show to regularly as many of the topics hold no interest for me. As a student demonologist though I tuned into the show "The Young and the Haunted" last night and was extremely disturbed. Several of the families on there quite obviously need to get rid of the paryapsychologists and call some one who knows what they're doing.
Case in point: the segment on the "ghost molester" has nothing to do with ghosts. The phenomenon she describes has been defined for hundreds of years in a variety of cultures. It's called an incubus. Its a type of demon that attacks women sexually exactly as described. The fact that things peak at 3 am is also a classic hallmark of demonic activity. The fool ghost hunter they had on thinks there a "natural" explanation probably because like most parapsychologists the idea of demonic activity scares him silly so he pretends it doesn't exist. With out the aid of a priest its likely the families problems will degenerate faster until things become even worse not better. If any one knows them I would suggest they contact a competent organization like Deleware Valley Demonology Research(www.demonologyresearch.com you can also email me) or Paranormal Research Society of New England(www.prsne.org). Both of these groups are run by nationally known authorities who can offer actual help instead of condescending rationalization.

Dear Kevin:
I find your constant cries of 'demon' to be somewhat silly, very Christian-centric, and possibly offensive to those with alternative beliefs. Please tone it down a bit. Also, don't wave any 'credentials' you may have in the field of demonology, unless they were granted by the Vatican itself. I myself am an acclaimed gryphonologist, unicorn tracker and routinely discuss politics over tea with the Chupacabra, but I don't go around dropping that into all my conversations.
Hey, maybe I should.
Best regards,
D. Thomas.

Dear Doubting you know what be offended I honestly could care less. I find the constant whinning about how demons don't exist offensive to my religious beliefs as is people who tell victims of violent hauntings that its just a ghost, Does that mean every one else should back of on those things because I personally don't like it? I'm not arrogent enough to think so although apparently you are. If you don't like what I have to say don't read it I have no intention of making my speech more politicaly correct just because some one is uncomfortable. Do some research of your own the case that tv show shows is a text book incubus attack. Would you like me to cite books that support that. As to my credentials for the record Lou is a student of Ed Warren. Ed is the only lay person in the world the Vatican does recognize as a religious demonologist. My information comes from formal training from Lou along with practical experience.

Not directly although I've lived in several haunted locations and investigated quite a few more.

Ok honestly doubting are you a moderator? If you are by all means cite which rule I've been violating and how. In which case I will make a point to not violate it further in any future posts. If your not a moderator what gives you the right to dictate what i can and can't say?
The one thing I've been accused of is spam so I reread the rules and to quote them directly: No spam - Spamming the boards will not be tolerated. What constitutes spam includes the following: using the forum to post advertisements for unrelated websites, products or services, posting large numbers of one worded posts or posts containing large empty spaces, starting identical threads in multiple board sections, posting solely for the purpose of increasing your post count or to aggravate and annoy other users.
lets see have I advertised websites, porducts or services that are unrelated? Nope the only sites I've mentioned are about to the paranormal
Have I posted large numbers of one worded posts or posts containing large empty spaces? No most of my posts have been at least a paragraph and all of them were more then one word.
Have I started identicl threads in multiple board sections? no
Have I posted solely for the purpose of increasing my post count or to aggravate and annoy others? No first I wouldn't know why I'd want to increase my post count. Second I post because I have oppinions I think might be helpful to some one not to deliberately aggravate others. True I don't mind that my posts do aggravate some people but then again as an adult I"ve long since accepted that its impossible to please all the people all the time.

Nope, no mod. Although you would do well to heed them, as they can be merciless at times.
Second of all, I'm not offended by anything you say. That's because my personal 'beliefs' don't include demons OR ghosts. So say what you want, it doesn't offend me at all.

I'm quite enjoying what KevinM has to say and hope he isn't scarred off by people moderating without a permit. It's not Spam , it's posted in the right place and he hasn't actually attacked any-one or broken any rules. In fact KevinM has been quite restrained under the circumstances.
Welcome to the board KevinM, I hope you enjoy it here.

Thanks Kismet. As for the moderators having been in there shoes myself I personally try to keep what I post any where in the rules so I don't give them any head aches(most board moderators have enough as it is). Honestly at any rate if you want to talk about any thing relating to religious or spiritual beliefs you're going to offend some one. Its one of those inevitable fact of life things. Honestly to I think if youre going to talk about stuff like this its GOOD to be offended once in a while because its usually a sign that A your actually paying attention and B people are making you think.

The problem is they went back at least the one time for those idiot parapsychologists. Aside from that leaving doesn't mean any thing the spirits may simply follow them.

Personal attacks on people are more likely to come from an entity attached to the person rather then the place.
