A seaside hotel with more ghosts than guests is becoming a hot spot for phantom hunters. The 400-year-old Schooner Hotel, in the picturesque seaside village of Alnmouth, on the Northumberland coast, has 32 rooms and an estimated 60 ghosts.

Its fame brought a team of `ghostbusters' to investigate recent sightings. Four ghost spotters from Newcastle and a 16-strong team from Twilight Worlds, the Northumberland Paranormal Society staked out the hotel on Saturday. And now the hotel has been contacted by a representative of the Sky television programme Most Haunted.
