I used to be afraid of sliding doors. Whenever I went shopping with my parents I used to run through as fast as I could in case they closed on me and crushed me.
I still dont like them.....you cant tell what their thinking.

Revolving doors had that effect on a lot of people and still does.

Personally...When I was lil...I would run and jump in my bed b/c I thought there was a monster under my bed that would grab my ankles...sadly...I still do it....there really is something wrong with me

...lol

That thing is kinda freaky isn't it! I almost cracked my head open one night playing that game. Something jumped out at me and it scared me so bad I jumped and cracked my head on the headboard of my bed.
It hurt, but that game was awsome in my eyes. Freaky, but cool. My only complaints are it was really long when it seemed like it should have ended about three levels ago and that you had to use the flashlight all the time.
But yeah, back on topic now.

Doom 3 isn't scary, how can you see something that isn't there (which i want to say it is too dark

).
The thing that scared me as a kid, and as a teen, and adult and probably will haunt me till my grave (and perhaps beyond) is the most evil presence ever seen, The Tax Collector. This man is pure EVIL !!

I was always scared of death, I don'#t think anyone ever really gets over the idea of it. However, if early memory serves me correct, the ghost in the library in ghostbusters and that scary paining of that guy in ghostbusters II used to freak me out. in the dark i would imagine they were coming aorund the corner, which in heindsight was probably not the best thing to do. i always had trouble with weird noises in the house, and moving into a older house after didnt help, especially when it has a cuple of friendly, yet still spooky voices in the corner of my lounge,

Not long term scary, but when they jump out at you, it can startle you. Besides, I still think that it would scare the crap out of a young kid.

I was afraid of something being under my bed. I was sure it was going to grab my legs and pull me under. Open closets, the dark and windows with the curtains open at night. I was scared to death of marionettes!!! I'm still afraid of praying mantis'...
That was so many yrs ago! Now days, my bed is on the floor. No room for a monster anymore. I have to set the timer on the TV at night cuz I cant sleep in a quiet room. I make sure my closets closed every night. My curtains are always closed. I'm not afraid of marionettes anymore (I just don't like them at all!) I'm still terrified of praying mantis'. Bugs should NOT be able to turn their head to look at you!!! Its not right!!! Dam, I sound twisted!

Oh well i wasn't scared of doom 3, mostly because the performance is (literally) shocking (pc rather slow) so i could see my enemies coming, get myself a cup of coffee, drink it, do the dishes and then shoot it (and hope my bullets hit). I played it for one day, i'll keep it till i get a better pc.
What scares me... hmm... i'm not really *scared* but i feel a certain awe for the Wild Hunt (i do live in a mostly germanic country), even if you're (almost) certain it doesn't exist, you still keep an eye out for it. Also i'd rather not run into the Death Coach (literally and figurically). Oh yeah, and kludde too, as in one of my previous posts.

I am a very odd teenager. I get scared very easily, but that is probably because I am a major in scary things. I have always had an unimaginable fear of the dark. This fear extremely escalated when I saw IT. I watched the first half and went and slept in my parents room. Then I started watching unexplained mysteries, X-files, and reading books. I also started listening to coast to coast, and I started learning a lot. I also saw the Mothman Prophecies, and that might have helped.

Believing in monsters in the woods (I lived next to the woods) and the fear of the dark. I guess I got over it by walking into the woods at night and saw that there was nothing to fear. Then I felt pretty stupid.

I know, what the heck is wrong with those people. As an afterthought, I've had two paranormal expirences. One is when I was in the middle of nowhere with my boyscout troop. My friend said he saw something outside, so we went out to investigate. I looked where he said he saw smothing and I saw something on 4 legs (at least I think that how many legs it had) and it darted from a tree to another. It was about 4 feet high. My other one was when I was listening to coast to coast AM and I heard a load gasp, and it felt like it came from the inside of my head. My dad saw a ghost once when he was playing hide and seek when he was a kid. He said it looked like a braichiosarus.

I can't stand sleeping with the blinds rolled up, they have to be rolled down. It has nothing to do with fear, just the fact that an ancient belief (some may have heard of this) that if you die your soul goes up to heaven, but if your window is open an army of skyghosts comes and claim your soul.

When I was little, my mum used to do hairdressing for some people where we live. She'd visit their houses usually, and I'd have to go along too, as I was only a about six or seven. One lady had a huge, old house. I'm talking HUGE old English house, and going there was like going back in time.
Anyway, the old lady who lived there was fine, but whenver I had to go through the house on my own, it freaked me out.
There were all these old portraits on the wall of people, just as you see it in these old horror movies(with the moving eyes!). I honestly couldn't look at these paintings, the eyes were just so penetrating, and I don't know what it is about those type of pictures, they have a sinister feeling about them. Even though I wasn't looking at them, it felt as though they were watching me.
shudder.
