When I was a kid I used to be scared of going to close to my bedroom window at night. Because I used to think a monster would be waiting out of sight then, smash through the window and fly off with me.

Shh, monsters can't fly. wink2.gif

Scared of aliens or scared of what aliens do with their probes? That is the real question.

Communion got me. Christopher Walken scares the bejesus outta me.

I used to be afriad of walking on those big sewer grates that they have in the middle of parking lots. I was afraid that they wouldn't hold my weight and I'd end up living in the sewers.

Oh yeah there was this movie called C.H.U.D. Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers that was about monsters that lived in the sewers and would pull people down from those grates! I had forgotten all about that movie!
Don't go see it if you're still scared of the grates. It's a classic!

edited because I used the wrong word, duh

Not afraid of them anymore. I think I was about 12 when I finally stoped being scared of them.

I hate balloons too. The mylar ones don't bother me but the latex ones give me the super willies. And yes, my family thinks it's hilarious and they chase me around with them too.
Glad to know I'm not the only weirdo in the world... thumbsup.gif

For some strange reason I'm scared of squirrels. My boyfriend loves to tease me about it.

Old people used to scare me, too. Seeing an old person unfortunately reminds us of just how short life is and how fleeting our youth.

When I was a kid living in Plymouth, Michigan, a big tornado passed by in front of our house - while I was staring out the window at it. I was only 4 at the time, but I vividly remember the swirling grey cloud approaching and I was so scared I couldn't move. There was a row of good-sized trees in our front yard and it pushed them over, smashing them flat in an instant, as if an invisible giant stepped on them. Next thing I know, Mom grabbed me and shoved me into a closet. I am still afraid of tornadoes and severe thunderstorms to this day - yet I am fascinated by them, having witnessed 4 more tornadoes since then. They sound sort of like a cross between a freight train and a woman screaming, the most eerie noise you'll ever hear in your life.

As a child I was scared of being alone at home.
Also robots... it means all mechanical things... carousels... amusement parks...because they're all big and mechanical...
