When I was in college, like my second semester, I had a class in Biblical archaeology that had a massive paper due the last day of class. Naturally, I didn't start writing it until the night before.

I was sitting in the typing room in my dorm about three in the morning typing and I'd nod off. When I woke up, there'd be another half a paragraph or so. I finished the paper just before it was due and turned it in without even reading it. To this day I don't know what I wrote, but I got a B+ or maybe even an A-.

(My roommate, who always spent the whole semester on her papers and never got quite as high a grade as I did, hated me.

)
Funny thing, though, after I turned it in I went to a pottery class. About halfway through the class I found myself standing in the corner with a lump of clay. Didn't know where I got it, or where I was going with it, or anything.

At least I didn't fall asleep on a moving pottery wheel.

That could have been messy!
