I read somewhere that there is a theory that matter could be, and has been, displaced in time. They said that it could explain how certain animals, plants, structures, ect. end up in places where they should not be.

I think I remember them using this to explain the plagues of God.

I may be mistaken, but I thought these stories were pretty interesting.

The only theory of time displacement that I'm familar with is discussed in the theory of relativity and talks about time moving differently in comparison to one another. (two observers who move relative to each other will measure different time and space intervals for the same events)

Other than this, I haven't the slightest idea of what you speak... But I'd be interested if anyone else here does.

It also states that the faster you move, the slower time (for you) moves... Or perhaps it was interperted wrong in that instead of you moving fast, youre actually manipulating time into moving slower. *realizes this has nothing to do with the thread*

I would like some information on this displacement theory, though, it sounds very interesting.

Perhaps control of this would = transporter technology?

There are links to an article on a few threads here about matter teleportation or "displacement". A team of scientists managed to teleport a particle along some great distance but are yet to see a practical way to achieve this for more complex structures.

Well, It was also used to explain the appearance of extinct animals.

Like the lock ness monster. It was said that a specific area in time was replaced with the exact same area, but from a different time.

For example: A modern city is sent to a time 200 years in the past, and the land, 200 years ago, in the exact same geographical area is sent 200 years in the future.

So, it would only be useful for sending things through time. hmm.gif

A Blackhole is said to be some sort of time portal, am I correct?
