I was born at the West Reading Hospital and the entire side of my Mother's family lives near or around Shartlesville and Strausstown.. what a small world, huh? My cousin swears she saw the devil's dog somewhere in Reading and one of her ex's was in an old barn when a ghost horse and rider came at him full speed. I think that was near Temple.. There is also a pond, (lake, maybe) where I hear every night at midnight a ghost can be seen in the middle... These stories were told to me a long time ago, so i don't rmember details

Penn-Dutch country aside - this cat mutilation/sleep paralysis connection is a first class mystery of the highest order! The purported existence of this marauding cosmic fiend - potentially responsible for these heinous acts - has surfaced (and re-surfaced) over the years - including the reasonably famous 1973 Greensburg Pa. UFO/Bigfoot/Fiend encounter. the sudden appearance of a cloaked fiend resulted in the uncharacteristic maniacal behaviour of the main protagonist of this tale - it is revealing in that Stan Gordon (principal investigator) failed to include reference to the presence of this cloaked entity in various main-stream write-ups. (I recall a reference to this cloaked malevolence in a less popular write-up - trouble locating it online..)

...Bigfoot-type creature is seen in conjunction and proximity with a UFO. One of them took place on October 25, 1973 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. It was seen by a man named Steven Glosky and a couple of ten year old children. Presumably; the back door to the Berks County Humane Society has no shortage of covert surveillence cameras trained on it. Should be interesting! My sneak suspicion is that the "Cone of Silence" is probably firmly in place on this story - and we are not gonna hear another word about this investigation! Configure a google "alert" for cat mutilation and/or mutilated cat!
