I have to say, i have sorely, SORELY, underestimated Sonofone.

The match was in my favour for quite a long while, i even had his queen pinned down so hard, there was no way of getting out. I was sure of victory.

Then, several moves of obvious devious planning, Sonofone manages to escape my traps with his queen intact, having taken mine, and my rook, and keeping my king in check, while i was completely oblivious to it.

All it took was one mistake (very usual for me) and you got the advantage.... and I couldn't backtrack enough to make it even. Well done

I think your main mistake was when my Queen was pinned by the bishop and rook and you got the knight in the way, I could have probably fought out of it but I think only at the expense of another officer.

Mistakes can be ironed out with experience, I'll be sure to tread of tiptoes when next we play
