In Japan, next year most likely

In the US.... probably never, Magic Girl series don't do that well over here. Although, they may lience it for the younger market.
In the UK..... never. We never even got the last ones, I had to import them.

truly, it's kinda of unfortunate that fans from abroad go through many trials in order to get what's readily available in japan...thank goodness for the internet, but i do wish i can read japanese ~ then that would make ordering anime much more convenient, among other things (reading jp-mangas..). mellow.gif

I hated Gasaraki I must admit. It was so.... dull. But I think that was the point of it, it was trying to be a epic drama rather than action or sci-fi.
The only thing I like about it, is I got the entire series on sale from A1 Comcs for £40 grin2.gif (retail Price: £140)
Ever seen Nior?

Gasaraki was fun...all the political intrigue, all the drama, and the almost real mechs! (at least the TAs)
I have seen some episodes of Noir...nothing that call me too much. Perhaps because it remember me of Gunsmith Cats for some weird reason.
The only series i am following in this moment is Vandread, i love the weirdness, the echii jokes, and the conflics betewn womens and mens.

That funny i did some research about Oberth, who did plan for a "spaceship-rocket" here what i found.

Hermann Oberth was born on June 25, 1894 in Nagyszeben, Austria-Hungary (Now known as Sibiu, Romania) (The region was also known as Hermannstadt, Transylvania). He was a German scientist who is considered to be one of the founders of modern astronautics.

The son of a prosperous physician, Oberth studied medicine in Munich, but his education was interrupted by service in the Austro-Hungarian army during World War I. After being wounded in the war, he found time to pursue his studies in astronautics. He performed experiments to simulate weightlessness and worked out a design for a long-range, liquid-propellant rocket that his commanding officer sent to the War Ministry. The design was rejected as a fantasy. After the war Oberth sought a Ph.D. degree at the University of Heidelberg with a dissertation based on his rocket design. It was rejected by the university in 1922, but Oberth partially underwrote publishing expenses, and it appeared as Die Rakete zu den Planetenräumen (1923; "The Rocket into Interplanetary Space"). The book, which explained mathematically how rockets could achieve a speed that would allow them to escape Earth's gravitational pull, gained Oberth widespread recognition.

Until 1922 Oberth was unfamiliar with the work of Robert Goddard in the United States and, until 1925, with that of Konstantin Tsiolkovsky in the Soviet Union. After corresponding with both men, he acknowledged their precedence in deriving the equations associated with space flight. Oberth's "Wege zur Raumschiffahrt" (1929; Ways to Spaceflight) won the first annual Robert Esnault-Pelterie-André Hirsch Prize of 10,000 francs, enabling him to finance his research on liquid-propellant rocket motors. The book anticipated by 30 years the development of electric propulsion and of the ion rocket. In 1931 Oberth received a patent for a liquid-propellant rocket from the Romanian Patent Office, and the first rocket was launched on May 7, 1931, near Berlin.

In 1938 Oberth joined the faculty of the Technical University of Vienna. He became a German citizen in 1940 and in 1941 transferred to the German rocket development centre at Peenemünde, where he worked for Wernher von Braun, his former assistant.

the end is too sad

Yeah, but bitorrents will do. Trust me, I'll have this anime within a few months of it being released. That said, I follow the rules and buy DLed anime once it becomes avaliable in the UK, sometimes I also buy the dubs from the US as well, but its so expensive to import.

It does indeed feel like a darker GSC. I kinda thought it would be more like you're think since its serious and not kiddy anime.

Never seen it. I've only heard that its about a spaceship from a planet populated entirely by females......... which I'm guessing means the entire population are lesbians if their race only has a single gender huh.gif

You have to see it. In resume. Some time in the future, a colonization fleet depart earth. For some reason, the males and females splits the fleet, colonization diferent planets, and both planets develop whiout the other gender. The female planet is beatifull, develop but very banal. The male planet is ugle, dictatoral, but very productive. Both are in constant war, and in both sides the other gender are some kind of mythological monster. Then the males found one of the colonial ships, and refurbished it to make a warship. The they are attacked by a female pirate ship. The new part of the battleship get whit the men, and the old is boarded by the females, and while the men tried to destroy the old part, the "engine core" of the ship fussion the female ship to its own and teleport all a very ong way form there. And in the ship only last three men. After that, while triying to come back to know space, they found other human planets, and fight some really weird organic machines aliens, that are really :spolier: earth machines designed to harves colony human organs, like skin or reproductive organs :end spoiler: .

Both gender reproduce itself by genetic manipulation, using genetic material of someone to make a baby. Males babies are made in factories, females use an impregnation system, which the lesbians would love.

That is sooooo sexist. Has anyone told them that statistcally in the last 100 years only 10% of male leaders have gone to war or been dictators (most notably around the earlier part of the century), compared to 50% of female leaders. Statistically, female leaders are far more likely to be dictators, its just because most leaders are men we don't hear about it.

QUOTE

They actually have the technology today to make a baby from two eggs, so lesbians could have babies together today if it wasn't 1) expensive and 2) banned under cloning laws. However, femanist factions such as Segregationists have demanded that the technology be used to clone new generations of females and let men become extinct..... and these are the people who'll create a wolrd without war huh.gif .... yeah right rolleyes.gif Personally, I'd make femanists extinct.

You mean Muyo OVA 3? Sure, the Tenchi series has a ton of spin offs. Galaxy Police which features all the tenchi cast in one ep, and Pretty Sammy which has spawned several sereis (most in the style of Card Captor Sakura, but this one looks more like Di Gi Carrot or something). I've also heard Misao and Ramia appear in an episode of the anime Duel. Misao Amano was also taken over to an anime called Battle Programmer Shinare as the second main character.

Three's already finished, I was thinking it would be wierd if they had two different character designs running side by side. In retrospect that was probably a stupid statement, because they might wait several years to do OVA 4. In the other spin offs, they really didn't look that different. I do admit after going to the site, that the looks bother me less and like you said Mihosi, Washu and Ryo-Ohki look pretty much the same.
But seriously, If people had eyes that big, they wouldn't have any room for brains.

in fact its appear that the female´s also a dictatorship, but i think that is better explained in 2 season, which i dont see yet.

Well for us it should be a 60% chance they live in the greater Glasgow Area somewhere around Clyde Valley since 60% of the population lives there.... which for the most part would seem to be the case. Sera, Shady, terran_evolution and I all come from Paisley just outside Glasgow, Kuja and Win come from Glasgow, while Thistle comes from the Borders... and Subby's living there, although I don't know if he counts in this issue since he's Australian. I have no idea where Saru, Gollum, dAz, Scar, and ambyglam1 are. While Snowbaby is Scottish, but lives in England.

The thing about DLing is a lot of Japanese I've read are honstile towards western anime fans for it because we're essentially getting for free what they have to buy. However, there is an important issue to remember. 50 new animes come out in Japan every month. I'm lucky if Scotland gets 20 new animes a year.
If we don't DL anime, we likely will never see it. I mean, trust me, I will buy any of the titles I have if they were avaliable over here. But they arn't, thus I and other western anime fans do not have the option of buying, neither do we have the option of seeing it on tv. I can understand the Japanese arguement, however, its not a case that we are DLing when we can buy it, we're DLing it because there isn't any alternative.

This is the site I get all my anime from (it doesn't hoste any anime itself, just updates itself daily on links to those sites which do).

http://www.animesuki.com/

It only links to unlicenced titles, as soon as a US company buys it they take it down.
Xenojjin
Same here , I also use animesuki . Great site for the very reason that it takes things down immediatly after they are licensed . That way you always know .
Talon
It can be annoying if you haven't got all of a series though. I have all of Negima, except for episode 23.... how annoying tongue.gif

I will buy Negima however from the US, I just hope Setsuna and Konoka are still a couple in it and their relationship isn't twisted by the dubbers into being 'cousins' or some rubbish like that as they did with Uranus and Neptune in Sailor Moon.

Do you need DSL or better to download anime? I've only got crappy 56k at home.

My ancestors are scottish/english and came over around 1726 as far as we know.
Of course the immigrants didn't spell very well, and there are multiple versions of our family name. It is spelled Entrekin now. We think they were from the Enterkinfoot area, southeast of where you are, Talon. Ironically, I'm living in Midlothian, Virginia.
Xenojjin
56k probobly wont work very well with bittorrent . The files are large and your dl speed will depend on you uploading ... which will not be much on a 56k line .

And if I have only 3 episodes left , I ussually DL the rest anyways . If you follow the sites that animesuki gets their torrents from you will find that most of the fansub groups keep them up untill the actual DVD's have come out in english .

Does your net connection haves downloading limitations? If not I recommend that u use
e-mule and speederxp (but be careful, coz if u use this one in a wrong way u can say byebye to your motherboard ), if u have download limitation u can use it anyway, just control the amount of downloading and do regular checks on your traffic.

EDITED: and if u use it u should put the speederxp in 9550 to 9555 and the e-mule download to 400 kb and upload to 10 kb
Talon
Bit torrent is the best method of DLing anime. However, you need a fast connection. I'm using a 1 MB and I can download one ep within 5-7 hours on average (although some can be really fast, I've had eps DL one occassion within 30 minutes if the connection was good enough).

Up resently I had only 500 KB or something, which took 12 hours per title.

As for a 56K I can't begin to think what it'll do.

I'd DL an episode just for practice with torrent and see how it goes.

As for eMule, I never DLed anything with that, it never seemed to connect.

I used Kazza a lot, but it was so slowww. Could take as much as week for an episode.

Back when I used Kazza I got something like 20 episodes over the space of 6 months. But with Bit torrent I've got a good few thousands eps in the same length of time.

Oh no doubt, the above mentioned Maria-sama for example will never get released in the US because of its content. In all-girls Catholic school which hints in the anime at romantic relationships between the girls. Now while in the book the animes based on these relationships were cannon, in the anime its more stuble and it can be argued just to be hero worship, but its still to close for comfort for the west (particularly the character Sei who in the anime is openly a lesbian, flirting with Yumi constantly and has two episodes dedicated to her lost love Shiori).

I think that would be in your isp homepage, if it works the same way here there should be a place for users to log in, log in with the username and pass that u use to turn on the net, and seek for a option that says either download limitations or traffic limitations.
If I did any mistakes in this phrase by using a incorrect definition please alert me of that, I like to correct my errors.
I think that since there might be a difference between our net services, this might get a little complicated for me to explain. for example, I don't know anything about dial-up, I don't know what is it like and why is it called that way, if any one can explain me I will be glad to read about it.

Dial-ups what came before broadband. Unlike broadband you weren't always online, everytime to hit the internet link a sign came up asking if you really wanted to go online etc. If you did they'd be the 'hssssssssssssss' 'zzzzzzzzzzzing' sounds for a good fee minutes before you were online. It would also knock you off the interent every 2 hours in case you had gone away. It was slow, annoying, took up the phone-line. Well Scots, Welsh, Irish, Cornish, and the English have massive differences between each other in accents, let alone with people from other areas of our different countries. For example, my friend Kuja from Glasgow (which is right next to Paisley), I can bearly understand what he says laugh.gif

However, the principal of Equivalent Exchange comes into play here. tongue.gif Each episode will be 50 minutes instead of 35. Hot dang. happy.gif *can't wait*
