I agree there has to be something to these stories I mean every recorded incident cannot be someones imagination, or mere folk legend or even a large fish.

While I refuse to say yes or no lol I do believe there is something out there and you raise a good point with the cave systems in kootenay maybe a little adventure with some scuba gear could shed even a little light on the tales?

Yeah, its kind of funny. His writing was better when he was in grade 3, he is now in grade 11.
By the way. Here is a picture of Cadborosaurus, for anyone who is unaware of what it is.

Jeez ol' Ogo must be feeling the pain, because he's basically looking a little shreded up in this pic.

I know of some in Boswell that have cave drawings, so there are many interesting things to see on that lake.

ahhh ogopogo holds a special place in my heart. I'll always remember hating my parents whenever they would drag me to the okanagan to swim and such... always scared me lol

The first time I heard about the Ogopogo.. I was staying at a lake when my grandmother from Vernon was telling me stories about it. The next day I was terrified of the water and didn't want to go in... it took them awhile to explain to me I wasn't actually *at* the Okanagan Lake tongue.gif

That supposed to be caddy's skeleton was actually a decomposed whale. I have this debate along with Frogfish almost a year ago. I wish he's here, to help me enlighten you...

I think Nocturnal explained it better than I could, capo. Cadborosaurus or caddy is the name given to a lake/sea monster seen off the coast of British Columbia. It's said to resemble a long serpent as opposed to the plesiosaur-like lake monsters Champ and Nessie. And if I'm not mistaken, something like caddy was supposidly seen off the coast of New England, too.

Yes, in the early 1800's literally humdreds, even thousands of people reported a reptilian sea serpent in New Englands, and this is from the home of experienced whalers who were experienced with all manner of sea creatures, and would know the difference between a fish and a sea serpent, as this creature was regarded.

There are as many people who point to flaws in that corpse being a basking shark / whale (both have been suggested) as people who agree with it. Without the corpse it's pretty difficult to tell with any certainty what the decomposing mangled corpse would be.
