Well, here's the problem with the "devil's" footprints.First, I'm a Ph.D. in Judaic and Christian biblical studies. Lucifer's footprint wouldn't include a hoof.
Many people accept Satan's image to be that depicted in movies or old paintings by non-biblical scholars. In fact, Lucifer was the most beautiful of all the angels. His position was that of archangel (Catholics have a different category), meaning that he was one of the few most powerful of all angels in the Creator's kingdom. The only angels of comparable power, we are told, are Michael and Gabriel.
According to ancient texts, he led a revolution of his followers and created a war in heaven. His reason was jealousy of the Creator's power and believed that he could rule the universe as well. He was summarily expelled and given power to roam the earth (perhaps more than just the earth) and was to have the opportunity to build up his power for the final battle with the Creator.
Ostensibly, the Creator allowed this in order to ultimately prove that no power was greater than His. Following the final battle, Lucifer will be imprisoned in chains for one thousand years. At the end of the sentence, he will be freed for one more opportunity to excel.
But it has been foretold that he will then be sentenced to Hell.
I don't know whether Lucifer has ever left a footprint upon the earth or not, but I'm certain that it certainly won't be that of a hoof.

Here's a pic I found on the internet with a story. Post comments I don't know if it's real or not.
