Althalus
Daz, Some PC's have more than 2 RAM card slots, my old one did.
dAz
What I was meaning was I didn't think they made small amounts of RAM anymore 1MB 2MB etc.

Just wondered what SIMMS he had installed to give a total of 639MB.

sasmokin.gif dAz
Althalus
I did not think they did either, for instance I have a 128MB card installed, but it only registers as 120MB unless my computer has trouble loading up and the it will acknwledge all the other 8MB.

Oh, some of you with RAM that under-reports could be a result of problems Windows has addressing over a certian amount of RAM or it could be shared with the video card.
Dowdy
Kick ass comp Bloated Corpse. I'd love to have a computer like that.

DSchwartz,
you shouldn't have too many RAM chips. I had a few in my old computer and they stuffed up. The guy who fixed it said that they were of a different brand and because of that, they conflicted but if they are the same brand and same speed and same type, you should be alright biggrin.gif
