Found this strange cryptid called the Ahool, check it out:

Reported by the Sundnese people of western Java is a giant bat known as the Ahool, after it's triple call.

Described as having a monkey-like head with large dark eyes, grey furry body, and around the size of a one year old child. Perhaps it's most impressive feature is it's massive wing span of nearly 12 feet. This is nearly twice as long as the worlds largest bat the common flying fox.

As for it's habits, it's said to spend it's days inhabiting waterfall caves, while it spends nights skimmng across the jungle waterways scooping up fish with large claws located on the top of it's forearms.

The most well documented sightings of the Ahool were both made by naturalist Dr. Ernest Bartels. Once in 1925 when he spied an Ahool near a waterfall on the slopes of the Salek Mountains and again when he heard it's distinctive triple cry in 1927.

The renouned cryptozoologist Ivan T. Sanderson feels the Ahool may be an oriental relative to Africa's Kongamato, both of which he feels may be giant unknown bats belonging to the suborder Microchiroptrea.

Apocalyptic Cryptid
Ahool is such a cool cryptid... along with Kongamato...it like they cant decide whether it is a giant bat (mammal) or like a living prehistoric flying reptile...well either way its just cool to think there is somthing that big flying around in the world....
Mysteryman
Yeah, it definitley sounds like a cool cryptid but it sounds more like a dinosaur flying bird. Something like a pterosaur. But yeah its definitley cool if it still does exist...
Canadian Rottweiler
Like this(this is supposedly real btw, notice the people looking)...
Mysteryman
It could be something resembling that, though more characterstics/traits of what a bat would have/look like.
Canadian Rottweiler
Ah,but what exactly do you think of the pic?
Bio-Mage
You sure people are not looking torwards those vans setting up their equipment? Its an interesting photo, but the bird looks a bit out of place. I have to agree though, that if this is proven authentic that its size must be trully impressive. Just compare it to the building floors and you see that it far outsizes any bird we know today.

Just looks like a bird to me.. not a very good photo, there is no real reference to determine the distance its at, or even the height.

Its a dark coloured bird , darker coloured objects appear farther, especially when they stick out on a such a light background, the effect is multiplied.

It's probably just a pidgeon or a dark gull.
