Ok, when I read this story I thought... "What the hell is going on in Missouri?" read and give us your opinion.
Location. Near Carthage, Missouri
Date: March 7 2004
Time: afternoon
The two witnesses had gone riding ATV's (all terrain vehicles) in a place called "The Underground" which is a public and private storage facility near the town. The facility is miles and miles of carved out caves and also stores thousands of dehydrated food containers for the Navy. It is also a fallout shelter and can hold up to 40,000 to 50,000 people. They had gone about 8 miles deep into to the caves when they turned into an area that was marked, "Naval Authoritative Zone." The walls became more defined as in polished or finished, and this was striking because this was supposed to be a newly blasted area. Both witnesses just kept on going, increasing their speed since the floor was paved now. They then came upon an unusual painted pattern on the floor, which they thought it was graffiti. The road then dipped down and took a 90-degree turn to the left. They were going to fast and knew they were going to hit it but they didn't. They passed through some kind of holographic projection of the cave wall. Now they had come upon a whole new road system, this one large and much older than the one they had come from. They began to notice an odor, that was musty and damp that grew stronger as they went deeper into the area. The lighting had changed as well. It was now 60% darker than the other area from which they had come. They turned on their headlights and slowed down also noticing that it was getting cooler. They made a right turn and started to come up on what they thought was a rest area about 40 ft away. One of the witnesses then saw something that at first he thought were a pair of fountains until they moved. They both stopped immediately. About 30 ft away they saw two creatures, one was very tall (at least 7 ft, maybe more) and very powerfully built, it was reddish in color. The other was smaller (about 6 ft tall) and was a pale, almost albino color. This one was not as powerfully built as the other. They resembled large reptiles. They said nothing the witnesses did get a strong malevolent feeling, an evil presence of some kind from the taller one. One of the men screamed and they turned around and started back. One of the men looked back and saw that the taller entity was following them. He received an overwhelming feeling that if it caught them, harm would come to them, they passed through the wall projection again, and looked back and saw the tall entity raise its arm and it had a weapon of some sort, it fired and hit one of the ATV's, which apparently killed the engine causing it to stop. The rider ran to the other ATV and jumped on it. They drove away and looked back to see that the tall reptilian had now stopped at the graffiti area on the cave floor. It was obvious that the creature would not cross the strange marked area. It seemed to have been some type of barrier for the creature. The witnesses now slowed down and were now about 75 ft away from the creature. The two men and the reptilian stared at each other for about 15 seconds, and then they left. The creature remained standing without moving. One of the witnesses called the police on his cell phone but he was told that the security at the facility would handle the matter. Indeed security waited for the men and threatened to arrest them if they did not leave.
So, whats your thoughts?

its absurd!

Funny thing about saving the president if a fallout happens is that the president will be a president of no nation since there's no citizen anywhere.

Sounds like a story written by a teenager looking for attention really.
I wouldn't even consider it to be real until at least the source was posted.
Other than that, moved to a more suitable location.

Probably from a database collection service like
UFO Casebook. Here's a
LINK that includes this event, it's number 37. A goodly number of these 'cases' are highly suspect as they offer no credible support or evidence, they merely recount the experiences as reported by those involved. No doubt this story rings true as the 'navy' would have great use for a storage facility that lies just about in the center of the country, at least 2000 miles from either ocean and the actual naval bases that would require the food containers stored there. Thats military efficency for you.

The most important question to ask would be, if the food is 'dehydrated', why would it need to be stored in an underground facility, it isn't going to spoil no matter where you store it.

My WebpageHeres a link on where I found the story. It has reports on it from almost every year, I'm not sure if most of them are true, but its fun to think so... but if they are true, then theres more to UFO's, bigfoot, and everything else out there that we don't know about. To get to the updated storys:
-Click on any year.
-Click "Index Page" at the top in bold letters.
-Then click on "UFOinfo.com at the bottom.
-A page should pop up with green bars on the side. There will be a ranking of letters which tell you the level of the report... I read rank E reports. Anyway go to the bottom and you'll see "2004 updated".
Enjoy reading... some of them really gets you paranoid and your mind will start playing tricks on you. Scary stuff some of them

Yeah, and dont forget that the marines are a branch of the navy - they're infantry and must be trained for ground, tactical, and urban combat. What better place than secluded in the middle of the country. Espeically if they were training for osama - caves and such.

Miss Lisa-Kun mentioned the "Albino Farm". That's a local nickname for a large farm once called Springlawn. I believe the farm has been sold off in lots now and the old farmhouse burned. Here's a link, if anyone's interested.
Link It was once a beautiful place, so beautiful that people came out to tour the farm and have picnics there. After the family died, though, it fell into ruin. The rumors and stories connected with it have no historical basis, though. (Not even the ones reported by Joan Grant in Haunted Missouri, apparently.)
As far as the topic of this thread goes, to the best of my knowledge there is no naval base anywhere near Carthage. There are probably caves in the area (it's in the Ozarks, not far from Branson, which some of you may have heard of) but don't you think that if the government was hiding sinister reptilian beings they'd not have let a couple of guys go down into those caves in the first place?

Lisa, sounds like we're neighbors. Whereabouts are you?

I'm in Henry County.

Well, the Navy doesn't necessarily have to have bases just on coastal land. I can think of at least one base in Kansas where they train pilots. No water for miles there..
Disregarding that info the rest sounds like utter drivel..We have military storage facilities around here that haven't been used since world war 2 that are still actively patrolled and carry a heavy sentence for trespassing on..
To think that some guys would just be bombing ATVs' around on them like it was a park is ludicrous. Not to mention the fact that apparently they would leave an entrance to some "Evil Entities" unblocked and unguarded so members of the public can wander around and find them seems even more laughable..
But that's just mt "Crazy" opinion..

It's a bunch of crap...the story that is. I live near the area and I had a cousin who used to work for Schriber Cheese, which is part of The Underground. I've also went in there myself.
My cousin nor myself have seen anything like that. Just a bunch of storage areas, offices, and trucking. Think of it as a giant underground warehouse for multiple activities. No doubt parts are cold in there for the cheese and various other products because they have cold storage.

Cendari is correct. The place where this story supposedly took place is an underground warehousing facility in Carthage. There's really nothing underhanded about the place, although security is very tight because (I've heard) there are government records stored there, among many other things. It's also because of all the food stored there. But I've have a friend who has to go there for work, and they don't let you just waltz in there. And they certainly wouldn't let you drive an ATV in there.
We also explored an abandoned underground that is about a hundred yards away from the place in this story. Sorry, no lizard men, although we did have to bring a raft to explore the second level which was flooded. The two undergrounds are also supposed to connect, but we never saw any way of getting from one to the other.

IF, this is real,
1. They must be making plans with the alien or talking with them.
2. The symbol must of meant to keep them there to stay away from humans.
3. If the aliens wanted them dead, how come they don't kill the people who work there?

I too live in Carthage, not but a mile or two from the Underground. There is a sense of secrecy there indeed. The pit entrances are way down in the hillside and all around the top are lined with trees and huge square boulders. I would seriously consider this guys story completely true. I mean it. And if you all look up the hollow earth theories, you'll see mention of "middle" earth creatures that are reptilian and alien. I prefer not to believe in aliens as a rule because I like to sleep soundly at night, but man...now I'm like going to never get to sleep tonight thinking of them right under my house. Well...not directly under because it was 8 miles in or so...hmm. Seriously interesting. I emailed the guy for more information.
