i just happened to stumble on a site with this story on it a few days ago.

i live in jefferson city, missouri and almost always whenever i do a search for ghost sightings, hauntings, ufo sightings, cover ups, etc.... i always start with a search in missouri, so that maybe i could check it out myself.

i have never heard the story before and it sounds like b.s. to me. for starters, wouldn't the cave have much better security than what this guy encountered? and why would the reptilian stop at the logo? sounds like someone writing some goofy sci-fi story for a middle school creative writing class.

Thats it, all of us will meet some where and organize to go to Missori and go down in to that cave with weapons and other things. and at soon as we see something not usual... then we run back out and try to explain what just happend... show of hands.

I have communicated with the guy by now extensively and I can seriously tell you all it's not BS. I can also tell you that I've not been sleeping well over this either. I have no desire to go into the cave system and I think it's best to leave well enough alone.

To answer the question about the security. The place is a storage facilty that has miles and miles of tunnels. Many of them store food and other things for the military and other companies. Anything involving the military will have security. It's a given. More than likely, in my opinion only, the company may have no knowledge of the entities down there and it is possible that the tunnels where this occurred were pre-existing before development of our tunnels. I would say the entity stopped at the symbols not because it was a barrier, but because it had made it's point and needed to go no further.

Also, to reply to you gun toting American men who laugh in the face of danger...they have guns too. And where there are two creatures, don't you think, just maybe...there's more??? It'll never happen, nobody will be allowed down there again and you all know it.

I don't care weather or not there's increased secruity if I feel like going down there I will.

Hey, sorry to bring an old topic back up, but I recently read the story and found it really interesting. I live in Neosho, MO (about 15-30 minutes away from Carthage) and have heard of all the caves up there. My dad has been in them, granted he hasn't had anything weird happen, but they do exist. Oh and yes, there is a Navy base there, everybody around here knows that, it's not like it's some well kept secret or anything. Anyways, here in Neosho, Brass Eagle (the paintball company) has it's headquarters in a cave underground, another part of the same cave functions as a fallout for the town of Neosho. I've heard rumors that the Carthage caves and the Neosho caves are somehow linked together (either man-made or naturally). For a while now I've been wanting to get some friends together and go check it out because anybody can drive up around the caves and get in them. Missouri is a pretty freaky place, between the "Spooklight" in Joplin, the caves, and the SUPER scary hicks...it's really probobly not a good place to go exploring haha. I'll keep you guys posted. On a side note, does anybody know of any paranormal investigation groups around the Joplin area?
