I personally like Diablo 2! great game, but they should have a new one out by now.

Define what you would call an 'Action' game.

Because really, you cannot, no matter how hard you try, lump something like Halo or Half Life, with Alone in the Dark, or Diablo.

That's like saying, 'whats the better drink, water, or beer?'

Action, as .... kill fest, because there are a lot of genres under action, like hack n' slash- Diablo, Horrer/shootem up-Aitd,Re Massive kill fest-Halo,Unreal tournament, Serious sam.

So my definiton of action is which one do you like best... Be it Hack n slash or other.

out of those, id have to say Serious Sam or Half-Life. and you cant count Manhunt as an action game because thats actualy not really under the action genre at all, considering you have to go through most of the game stealth.

I said other, as in Castlevania:Symphony of the Night.

Animal Crossing, DUH! That's the only action game worth mentioning!

only joking. i'm not into many action games, because many today are just GTA clones or games that try to push people's buttons, IMO.

I voted other because how could you possibly leave devil may cry out of that list. I can't wait for the third one to come out in England.

i think Diablo, Unreal Tournament, Ninja Gaiden, Halo 1 and 2, manhunt and half life are good action games, but i voted for the halo 1 and 2

The Metal Gear Solid or Resident Evil series

Wow, I totally forgot Metal gear solid. I used to play that on ps1 one for hours upon hours!

Super Mario Bros. I mean it has super right in it's name.

I would have to say Halo 2, just b/c its realism in physics.

I am video game challenged....my kids have tons of games, but I can't play any of them. I'd have to say Frogger was my favorite. My kids are on a Metal Gear Solid (?) kick.

CITY OF HEROES BABY! it is an xtremely kool online game the problem is, it isn't very well known. It hasn't been out very long

Theres no better feeling then using force speed and cutting down heaps of storm-troopers before the first hits the ground.

I like REZ its simple and a true cult/niche game.

City of Heroes is fun. I wish it was more of an RPG though. Superheroes don't only beat up bad guys. They should have a kind of alias meter, you have to do stuff both in a regular life and a superhero life and try to hide your real self. I dunno.

It's been out for a year so far, a very good superhero game. Another is coming out with Villians (City of Villians) that can go along with it. Looks pretty neat. I pretty much just play to make the heroes, not level them up.

And I can't get Diablo to download on my computer... Dumb. It will take Diablo 2, but not Diablo.

And as to the question, Halo, not Halo 2, just Halo.

I really don't know which to choose. I've narrowed it down to Halo and Unreal Tournament, but I seriously just can't split them.
