Here is the beggining of a story i am working on. I was inspired by current events and 1984. ALso a bit of Half-Life 2. But anyway these are the frist 2 paragraphs of my book, the itroduction paragraphs (subject tp change in final version)



In the beginning of the 21st century, an event happened that changed the course of the world. On that fateful day, September 11th 2001, the most powerful nation on the planet was attacked. This even started a series of wars and laws enacted to prevent terrorism. But what the citizens didn’t know was that little by little, one by one there Freedoms were being stripped.

In the year 2008 the United States of America, the most powerful nation on the planet, attacked its closest allies. Expanding it territory, they then annexed these once proud nation into the Union. This brought on course of events that lead to the present day.

I like the inspiration your drawing from, your taking something people know much of and planting it as a root for a story intro.

There isn't much to go on - but from what I see it's informative and quite interesting. I'll admit I'm not really into things too close to our world - I prefer my stories as a release, but if I put all that aside I'll admit it's clear and well written and if I admit a bit futher - there's enough there to keep me reading on, which is the main point.

If you post it, I'll read it
