We live here in Plano, Texas. We have coyotes and other wildlife in our area. A few days ago my sister saw two coyote like things just out side of our yard. She described them as like a coyote except it was very round and shorter. We thought it might be a fat coyote or maybe a large racoon. We have not seen them since then so we are not sure what they realy are. I just thought I would post it to see what all of you out there think.

Unfortunately, with such a vague description, there's not much we can help you with...how much "rounder" and how much "shorter" are we talking exactly?

I dunno why thisis in the crypto section,as this sounds nothing abnormal to me.Could be a coyote,or a fox,or a wolverine,or a raccoon. For a detailed answer to your question were gonna need specifics dude.

Hey Jacob. I live right up 75 from you in Mckinney. Last year we had several coyotes killing small dogs. I actually took my Alaskan Malamute(140lbs) out looking for them. They were never killed but they must have moved on.

Maybe, we have them here now and then. They never killed anything around us, one did make a pass at an old dog we had but my father shot off his gun to scare them. They do make alot of noise though though there was one howling by our bathroom window, I nearly jumped out of my skin.

I couldn't compare it too anything, apart from a fat racoon, as you said!

Coyotes can breed with dogs too,
maybe it's a mix?
