Illiamna Lake in located in Alaska. This lake is 80 miles long and it boasts numerous unknown creatures dwelling in it's waters. While the sizes vary in the descriptions, the creatures are described as being grayish, broad headed, with long bodies and vertical tails. The sightings of these animals date back to the Indians living in this area. They feared the creatures and claimed that the animals had attacked and killed boaters on the lake. Pilots flying over the lake have seen the creatures sitting just below the waters surface. One theory is that these creatures are Beluga whales that have entered the lake from the sea. The residents of the area say they know what beluga whales look like since they are common sights, these creatures do not remotely resemble the Beluga whale.

Same as said before.................just as likely as any other sea monster. Pretty cool all the same

The typical lake monster. Not that many descriptions nor pictures though so I would have to say worse than typical (worse than Loch Ness and Ogopog) - no offense.
ALNA70
They may not be as famous as the creatures on Loch Ness and Ogopogo, but they are just as likely to exist.
DarkSide
Actually they arn't really classified as 'lake monsters' they are really big fish, that are said to look alot like Sturgeons, sturgeons can also get very long. So I would think that these animals were sturgeons or some other large un-classified fish.

Their are many, many pictures hoax or fact of Loch Ness and the Loch Ness Monster. Find some pictures of Illiamna Lake Monsters and then I just might say it is as likely to exist.

It couldn't be a Beluga..... they're so cute! happy.gif
Mysteryman
Your right because the natives said they knew that what ever the figure was in the lake, it wasn't what was shown to them which was the beluga whale.
Conspiracy
ya plus if its something thats been supositly seen since thousands of years ago then maybe something does exist o.O but also it on a website it says the possibilities are that its a White Sturgeon but all possibilities are open since once hasnt really been described yet

I have seen a few sturgeon in my life. That is one animal that can be mistaken for something it isn't. They still have such a prehistoric look about them. The ridges and spines on their bodies give them an almost "fake" look. The only thing about them is that they are bottom feeders. They are not know to surface much-if at all. They do come into shallows but like the deeper colder water. Nice pic Mysteryman!

That pic is no doubt, SICK.. I love it.. Thanks
