I am just wondering if it is possible for a person to have a dream in which they see things that another person saw in reality.

I'm asking because I'm writing a story in which a father returns from war, and his son starts having nightmares in which he sees some of the atrocities that his father witnessed on the battlefield.

Also, is it possible to "project" your dreams onto another person? That is, wishing (consciously or subconsciously) that another person dreamed about something?

The answer is yes to both. What I believe you’re referring to too your first question is called, “Retrocognition”.

For your second question I believe you’re referring to “telepathic dreams”, almost as if you were talking with the one you are relaying the message to. This comes in handy when dealing with mother in laws –winks-

imperial space force, next time you start a topic please try to make it a relavent topic. "is it possible to see what another person is seeing in a dream?" the answer is who knows! You dont, I dont, Noone does! Noone actually knows what dreams are... are they reality? dont know. Are they different dimentions? dont know. What is actuallty known about dreams is that they are weird bizzare and sometimes, SOMETIMES, seem parallel to reality. This is because the brain is sorting out what happen during the day, and is trying to resolve the problems it has by creating a little world of its own.

"is it possible for two people to have the same dream?" Duh. statistically speaking there are 6 billion people having dreams every night, 500 million people remember their dreams, in a year thats 1,852,000,000,000 dreams. Whatever I'm too tired to try to explain this... I gotta go back to work.
